[QUAD-L] Fwd: Dana invites you to MySpace

2007-11-07 Thread DAANOO
I joined because my sister suggested, so I could hear her music.
I don't know how else to invite anyone. I am not very computer savvy.
I know there are some computer geeks on the quad list who can enlighten me
as to how to do correctly.

Dana
I would love to see websites of anyone else on the list.
Thank you

I join my space, which is through MSN, I think that's the name and Google
e-mail, but now they cannot . Without finding me I cannot use either one.

I think this is how you invite people, if anyone is interested.

It's true. Eating is a shock to your body as it must begin the process of
digesting the food. Liquid and ground/processed food is easier on the body.
Greasy foods and fatty foods are more difficult on your body.

Eat slower and breathe between servings.

I used saline down my trach it a mucus is thick, but I usually take a
breathing treatment also and that will loosen up the mucus with albuterol. Do
you?. I have been up oxygen at night at home, when my oxygen levels were
low ,
but that was usually after bronchitis.I really hate wearing oxygen tubing,
it is so uncomfortable.

You could very well become one of our best advocate for non smoking, once
you decide to quit for
good, lol. No one, including me needs to tell you the natural dangers or
the added effects on your quad body
from smoking. Your doctor and nurse have covered that already.
What you need from us is understanding and support in your efforts to
achieve your goals.

RE: [QUAD-L] Quad Control website_Bed Controls, etc.

2007-11-07 Thread RollinOn
Thanks Lori,
I've been looking for a new remote because mine is about broken and I can't
go without my remote but is there a site for just regular bed remotes
because I called the place that sold me my bed and they want 70 bucks for a
replacement and that's just highway robbery to me, I mean you can buy a
remote that can control 4-5 different things for 15 bucks at any electronics
store and my remote is a lot less complicated.

I do not know if anyone has posted this site before but I just came across
it yesterday when looking for new bed controls for my hospital bed.

For those of you who can, or cannot, operate their hospital bed controls...
this is something to look at. I do not know what else their main site offers
but this is just FYI. HYPERLINK
"http://www.quadcontrol.com/bedcontrol.htm"http://www.quadcontrol.com/bedcon
trol.htm or HYPERLINK "http://www.quadcontrol.com/"www.quadcontrol.com

[QUAD-L] what's next?

2007-11-07 Thread William Willis
Here is some of that marvelous “quad luck” that we all deal with. As I told
you, I am taking iv synercid and roceferin for mrsa and pseudomonas in a
pressure sore. I woke up Friday morning deathly ill. Shakes, chills, burning,
pain, difficulty breathing, and high blood pressure(180/100). I literally
thought I was dying. They rushed me to the hospital and did test after test. I
had a ferocious uti and a yeast infection, neither of which would respond to
what I was taking. Now I am taking synercid, roceferin, levaquin, and diflucan.
Whew! I was released from the hospital about an hour ago.
As they say – If it tweren’t for bad luck, us quads wouldn’t have no luck
a’tall!
Peace buds.
