Re: [QUAD-L] rash
I have had pretty good success with bag balm and making sure that my pants are not bunched up in my groin region. I don't know how much hair you have in that area, but I have found it much better to keep it trimmed back. I have also heard that butt paste and superduper diaper du (not sure of the spelling) work well for most bad rashes in the legs. These things worked wonders for my nephew and niece when they were little babies. I went through a few years like that, especially after my parents died in 2005 (my Mom was Christmas). But now I have grandchildren (whose parents are too self centered and lazy to decorate or buy gifts - shame on my son!). They make Christmas. Their excitement is all I needed. Also, I have an aide this year who LOVES to decorate for the holidays. So, I've been shopping and whistling Christmas Carols and SMILING! Big change for me. I know it may be completely different next year, so I enjoy day by day. Just remember, "this too shall pass". Hopefully, when you have grandchildren, some of the joy will return. If not, come celebrate with me! Thinking of you. Re: [QUAD-L] Holiday Season
Thank You Nan and all of the others. Last week, while I was in Indianapolis with Warrior, I attended a Homeland Security Meeting- Emergency Preparedness For Those with DisAbilities. I found the session both revealing, scary and informative. When such an emergency exist, government takes the necessary steps for its survival first and then looks towards the population to help. Many emergency centers are not equipped with a portable generator. Those who live in beds are the last thought and those who take care of those in bed are not considered. So emergency preparedness begins at the bottom. "each person for themselves" and the strong survive. So if you fall in the footstep of the above, be prepared and start today. Consider food, cover and heat. Consider a small portable gasoline generator and know how it works. If you are in a cold area that is subject to freeze, extra blankets. After you have developed your plan, talk with your neighbors about theirs. Sharing is an interesting way to meet people and make friends. My point is, it all begins with you so begin the process to be prepared. Best Wishes In a message dated 12/3/2011 10:36:44 P.M. Re: [QUAD-L] Holiday Season
I know Christmas can be hard, but remember how teenagers are and just keep makin her till shes 18 its your right :) and at least you did get your tree up. I was worried to whod put my tree up but my daughter asked if she could do it but she loves christmas and couldnt really do it at her place shes 21 w/kids now too. Just dont give up on christmas next year, because this year was lil frustrating it'll get better just keep your holiday spirit and itll all turn out good and it will get addictive. Have a blessed day and a Merry Ghristmas Gina Sent from Yahoo! Mail on Android
