Re: [QUAD-L] I would like to say to everyone a you
I agree with everyone! I hope you all had a very nice Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!!! Eric was definitely right when stating that the days and years usually fly by when you get older but slow if you are in the hospital and wanting to get home. Greg & I, despite living in Southern Arizona, are freezing over the last couple weeks!!! It should be nicer weather by Saturday hopefully. I don't look forward to the hot summers especially because I need to walk my German Shepherd that I adopted in November of 2018 because they require a lot of exercise and I need to stay on the asphalt with my wheelchair and there isn't many grassy areas except at nearby parks. She is wonderful but boy is she stubborn! She would really love the colder weather but not me! Have had my share of bladder infections (practically monthly) over the last 2 years that I acquired from a hospital and I am still having those "Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures" that started after my husband's passing. It was a very traumatic occurrence (him taken away from me one morning when a cardiac arrest) and I had never heard of these type of seizures and never had seizures before so that is now into the equation over the last 7 1/2 years as far as problems. The latest bladder infection put me in severe, paralyzing bladder pain on Christmas Eve and then it got better. But it happens every month and the MRSA is never going away. Over the last couple months I have had a very heavy amount of sediment in my urine and therefore catheter and when that happens... usually the bacteria "Proteus Mirabilis" is the culprit so when I got the lab results... sure enough that was present. There is no cure for it but the sediment can turn into bladder stones which happened with my urethral catheter. It hasn't been present (or shown up on a lab report in a long time prior to a couple months ago to the present) but I was written out a script for the antibiotic "Cefpodomixe" (with the brand name being Vantin with the brand name being discontinued in the United States) but not sure why. The co-pay is nearly $24 and getting it filled today. Just trying to stay alive over the last several years including being diagnosed with superficial bladder cancer which, unfortunately, was able to be removed and has not shown up again but I see my urologist every 6 months to make sure. I had a rental increase last year and, being on a fixed income and having to pay someone 24/7 now that I am no longer with family or my husband, I am going to have to come right out and tell them that I can't afford another increase. Been trying to find a rental home whereby the landlords, in my experience, do not increase the rent every year but haven't been successful. My area of town is more exclusive but I have always lived here and know people from when I lived here for many many years with my husband and I don't want to live closer to the border. So, with all of us getting older I hope we all have a happier and healthier New Year!!! It amazes me how fast the years seem to fly by when you get older. Of course, if you had to spend any time in the hospital this past year, the time couldn't go fast enough. I hope all of you have a healthy 2020. On Tue, Dec 31, 2019 at 4:21 AM Furious wrote: > Yes Merry Christmas to the Quad-list.. i know i'm late but the Holiday > spirit is in the air. Hello Quad-List, I would like to wish everyone a Belated merry Christmas and a happy new year. I appreciate this format to ask questions and give input. It helps us to feel we are not alone in the world we live in. We understand each other‘s problems as much as we can. Thank you everyone for sharing and caring about one another. God bless you now and throughout the new year. I pray for my friends also. We all need to fight against EVV to take away our rights to live independently without invasion of our privacy. Please join the group, Stop EVV on Facebook immediately to keep abreast of what is going on in our country. We need to contact our representative right now. The website will give you all the information you need to know how to uphold your ability to come and go in your community Thank you Jim for starting this amazing group.
