A few of you wondered if I was crooked..I am not..guess I'm just lucky in that regard. I had my bladder removed in 1995 due to bladder cancer and now have a Miami pouch...I love it. I have had my problems with excessive sweating but it turns out the sweating was being caused by an open sore on my foot..I think. This past year I have not had any cold sweats and the sore is closed. I have had about 30 kidney and bladder stones (In my Miami pouch) all removed last year but I will probably get more! In 2005 I had shingles and after being put on the medicine for shingles I had a brain bleed which has affected my short term memory...other then being stuck in this wheelchair life is good! I have been married to my wonderful husband Tony for 47 years, have one sweet daughter Lisa and two incredible grandchildren Ryan and Megan. I will celebrate being alive on my 50th ann, of my car accident which put me in this chair Sunday..I have a great life always busy doing something. I do phone work for AmVets..calling for discards since 1986..brings in a little money. I don't write that much on the quad list but I read all the posts..will try to write more.

The two drugs that best calm the sweat glands are ditropan and propantheline. Most of us take one or the other, and usually they are pretty effective. Do you take either of those? Hi, I've had my pouch since 1999 and I have around 9 stones the size of marbles. My procedure will be invasive as the Dr. has to make about an inch incision and will literally pull them out...I have had kidney stones removed recently also but this procedure scares me because the Dr. is cutting into the pouch! I will be in the hospital one to two days. - Original Message - From: "Nan" To: carolyndeand...@comcast.net, quad-list@eskimo.com Sent: Tuesday, September 11, 2012 10:52:27 PM Subject: Stones removed from a pouch Hi, I have a Kock Pouch ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kock_pouch or http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Kock+pouch ). I've had it since 1987. I had a Calcium Oxalate stone a few years ago. The doc used Flomax to help the stone pass and after I was discharged they set up a procedure to remove the stone from my pouch. It was a fairly uninvasive, outpatient procedure. They gave me something IV to sleep and when I woke up it was done. I felt great in Recovery and "blew that pop stand" about an hour later. I have had no problems since! Nan
