A trans-motor, consist of 3 separate components. The Motor, the Gearbox

pin that is connected to it, is not properly secured it will just rotate
and not move. How old are your batteries?

Brand New Batteries are only warranted for a period of 6 months. The same
batteries delivered in a brand new chair are warranted for a period of one
year. Batteries that are properly charged and serviced, should last for
2-5 years under the very best of conditions. After 10 years you have
exceeded the natural life of a man made form of energy and I congratulate your
diciplines.

Out of the top of each motor is a 1/2 inch high stub. The linkage to the
lever is usually attached with an allen fastener. Sometimes 2 allen
fasteners are used. As you move the free-wheel lever, to and fro the nub
rotates
180 degrees.

I'm only guessing the linkage is slipping and not allowing your motors to
enter free-wheel.

Ifs only a guess, using the internet.

I know Daryl Gwynn and his history before and after his crash in the UK. We
used to meet with him each Sept during the Nats in Indianapolis.

Good Luck.
Best Wishes

There is a little something Im missing. It must be the brake that clicks when
you let off. Someone on here has to know , if not a jack and a furniture dolly
are in order, lol.
