Larry my 1st chair was also like the one you described but I got mine in 1976 It came in one size fits all, one color (maybe 2) With a sling seat and back. Made a high pitch sound whenever I was in motion and would interfere with radio and TV signals. Very UGLY! But got me where I wanted to go. Before that I had to push. Re: [QUAD-L] New Chairs
I have a Permobil M300, the fastest I can get it to go is 5.5 mph. I tried it out on the flight deck of the USS midway while on vacation. Which is fine with me, the terrain I have to go over outside of my home is usually pretty rough. The only problems I've had is one of the armrests falling apart, but I think it is normal wear and tear. On 7/24/15, greg wrote: > I need a new chair pretty darn soon. Mine is getting run down. The only issue regarding new motors is replacing the control module too. But that is not a major issue if insurance is paying for the work and parts. The parts are usually in stock and ship in 14 days. Labor is about 2-2-1/2 hours max. Best Wishes In a message dated 7/24/2015 6:08:05 P.M.
