Re: [QUAD-L] New chair delivery - no show
It doesnt matter at this point why he didnt show up if he gave you another day he is coming. I sincerely doubt things will be right the first time with the chair. Its almost more productive if you can go to where the chair is and if its not right, its not as big of a problem. What happenned to me was the guy that delivered my chair knew nothing about what was ordered and was juat a middle man with a couple tools with no way to fix big issues. The person that delivers your chair will promise anything to get you to take the chair and sign. Problem with that is he will conveniently forget about promises and leave you as a "troublemaker". When delivery is made, dont get angry, but at the same time do not accept unless it is right for you. ron From: Gmail To: Fragile Cc: quad-list Sent: Tuesday, August 6, 2013 8:35 PM Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] New chair delivery - no show I called my supplier today (Tuesday) and they said NOTHING about not showing up Monday. I just hope they send someone who knows what their doing being this is the very first time I'm dealing with this supplier. Re: [QUAD-L] New chair delivery - no show
When a chair is shipped by Pride, a "pro" number is sent to the DME for tracking and tracing an order. I can receive that same pro number and track an order from the time it leaves the factory all the way to the DME. I can tell exactly when it was delivered and who signed the receipt. Tracking is so easy. After your chair is received. It must be unpacked and tested, while the batteries are charged over night. Only then can your DME call and advise you that it will be shipped. I would call in the morning and ask if the driver got sick. That happens sometimes, but someone should have notified you. That is just good business practice. You should give them a call and politely ask what's going on.
