RE: [QUAD-L] Re: Lifeline switch

2007-06-14 Thread Mike Murach
Lifeline is one of those devices that when activated a person calls you back
over a speaker and asks if you need any help. Remember the 'I've fallen and
I can't get up' bit? That's what it is.

Mike,
what do you use the switch for? To control lights or fans.

heating blanket (ON MY SHOULDERS ONLY), fan, TV, VCR, etc. Then, as a
supplement - a Lifeline bite switch hanging above me. Lastly, a straw going

I am always wondering how higher spinal injured people do it alone. There
must be a great support group. I do not but I wonder if that is only my
fear in spite of technology. Must take a lot of trust to newly met people.

Hi Linda,

How do you get by living alone at night? Do you sleep on an air mattress so
you can avoid different sleeping positions? Do you wear a life line? Sorry
for all the questions, just curious.
