Lori...

Where do you get your books in MP3 format?

YUP! I like listening to audio
books as well! Either alone or with my husband.

We have hundreds and hundreds of them on
the computer in MP3 format so that I can have any one of many popular
ones to stick into my MP3 player and listen away!

But many times they put me to sleep ... so
I still enjoy reading at my 'over the bed' table in the evenings
[regular books -- with and without big fonts].

Lori,I would like to know that also, as I could control it in bed
from the computer, but not the library tape recorder . Do you get them
free or do you have to pay for them?

Buying them would be very expensive. I have not heard of another
way.thank you so much for the information.

How do other person's control their computer if they're not using
Dragon? I have lost post about sip puff devices or any other way
that people accomplish this. And

I believe that there is also a .org website where anyone can order a naked
stripper
to whisper some of those same stories, from audio book,to you.
I think that you still have to go thru
your local library too. But its your choice, (lol)

I know that our library has dozens and dozens of books on tape. By many popular authors. Yes, audio books are very expensive so it is best to go another route like the library or

We usually download ours from the newsgroups [for free] and I am glad that my husband is also into listening to audio books to be able to do all the work for me. The newsgroups were always apuzzle to me but I never really looked into how they work and I always make things harder than they are.

I have to have my husband operate my MP3 player or my tape recorder for me so I do not have any suggestions inthat area, Dana. Sorry.
I CAN, however, also sit at the computer and listen to everything I am referring to as far as MP3 files [turned into books]. We keep them all on the computer so they are readily available.

But I have so many other things to do on the computer that I prefer to listen to them when I am in bed, when we are driving in the car, etc..

There are extensions that can be placed on the tape player buttons so
you can use your fists to turn it on off. I'll see if I can find a
site with a picture.
