Re: [QUAD-L] picking up BRAND NEW powerchair Monday
Rugged testing is a must BEFORE signing anything. Curbs, sidewalks, ramps, grass and a pothole if you can find one not bigger than the chair. If they won't let you, head for the door, they'll give in. Don't let them promise you anything w/o getting it in writing (including warranty and local repair contact). Don't compromise AT ALL. Demand prompt service for any defects that pop up PRIOR to signing. If it isn't right, don't sign.Remember your last chair. Tell them you'll gladly sign AFTER it is fitted and meets your approval NOT before. Re: [QUAD-L] picking up BRAND NEW powerchair Monday
Hi Bobbie, I'm getting fitted for the seat and back that will go onto my new chair. Medicare has a 6-month time between when they "approve" a chair, and when they send the money for it to the Vendor. It is my understanding that my input is key on whether or not the money is sent for the chair at the end of the 6-months. Take your time getting to know the chair. If there is something about the chair that you don't like, let your Vendor know about it. Wish me luck, Bobbie Don't be too apt'd about signing the paperwork that someone spent hours preparing for you to sign. Try it out on flat surface and bumpy. Try the wiggle test. Try the rocker test. Make sure its perfect. Cause after you sign the paperwork its yours to keep or regret. Hope it all works out to YOUR benefit. W
