2017-07-22 Thread Joan Anglin
Mine was somewhat different-I tipped over backwards, legs flew over my head,
nothing I could do.

About an hour later one of my Foster guys came home and found me and wanted to
know if this was the new game-he's a little slow. LOL

He brought me a phone and I called my son and asked him where he was, of course
it was 25 miles away. He said OK, I will be there in a while. I then told him
I was upside down, and luckily he made it a very short while.

I'm guessing we all have similar, multiple stories. I keep telling myself that
this time will be the last time, whether because I'll be more careful or the
results won't be positive, but, like you said, it's part of quadlife…

When my son was two, he and I were out tooling around in the neighbors
backyard. It was about 90°. We were going at a pretty good clip when all of a
sudden my front wheel found a pothole hiding beneath the grass. Like you my
head was thrown between my knees. I could not get up nor yell. It scared my
little son to death. It was a heck of a situation. Finally, he ran to the back
door crying. My wife finally heard him and came looking for me. I was rescued
at the last second. To be that hot, breathless, and helpless is something I
never want to repeat again. Just another one of the hellish attributes of
quadom. Thank God for my young son.

I was going out the back door and fell forward. Into my lap. Joystick jammed my
shoulder, but kept me from going further forward. Outside, 100 degrees, record
humidity. Hard to breath, overheated, etc. Pouring sweat from A.D. It was bad.
I thought it was hours, but it was just over 1 hour. I had to dump cold water
on my head, put ice packs on. No one could hear me. It was no fun. The thoughts
that go though your head. Between the pain, overheating, breathing, etc. No
more going without chest strap. Greg

I kept changing my mind. Thought the heat was the worst, then the joystick jabbing my soulder, then the hard to breat thing. But I'd yell and it would change again. The shoulder is lasting the longest, still hurts. But the heat was the thing I thought was going to do me in.

You get some bad thoughts while sitting, face down. I was assuming I was going to wake up in the ER.
I was sweating so bad. Then every time I yelled for help, I was out of breath, etc.
No fun... Thx
