Congratulations Luke on your achievements and your ability to pursue a
master's in OT.

What kind of documentary are you trying to do?

Amen Luke, Go get 'em. I waited too long to get my masters. My boss
said, "I hope you know this won't get you any more money around here." Nice
Guy, huh?

Hey All

It's been about a year or so since my last post. Since then I've started
going to college--majoring in psychology. What I plan to do is get my
Master's
in Occupational Therapy.

I started a Student Organization along with my fellow college crips. We're
called the SWAA--Students With Alternative Abilities. Our main purpose is to
increase accessibility on campus. Another thing we want to do is start
creating awareness about disabilities. We want to show informative
documentaries
about disabilities. SCI, Polio, MS, etc. Does anyone have any documentary
recommendations?

It's hard to do without the cast of monty python popping in my mind. Maybe a
comedy would get peoples attention. Lord knows nobody listens when your
serious.
Start off with a date and show a handicapped person hidden away, archaic
wheelchair, sleeping on staw. More modern date, backroom of log cabin, alone in
dark. later date say, post ww2, backroom of a 40's style home, radio on, purple
heart. (showing how little life has changed for handicapped and posing the
question, should society use us as a resource or just lock us away. Flash up
FDR and steven Hawking, pope john paul II had parkinson's. JFK had addison's.
Now you might want to remix that idea into something. sorry, I'm taking a new
anti biotic. Honest. I'm not this stupid...
