Like I said, when I was first injured they would wrap my feet / lower legs with ace bandages. Whenever I go into the hospital, they put something like this on me except they aren't heated. A nurse friend of mine thinks it's a bad idea. He thinks doing it makes me more likely to throw a clot https://www.target.com/p/foot-dr-air-o-thermo-full-leg-air-compression/-/A-87855271?ref=tgt_adv_xsf&AFID=google&CPNG=Beauty+-+Target+Plus&adgroup=37-8 https://www.walmart.com/ip/FitRx-RecoverMax-Leg-Massager-Heated-Compression-Leg-and-Foot-Massager-with-Multiple-Massage-Intensity-and-Heat-Levels/505146401?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2452&gclsrc=aw.ds&adid=277505146401_117755028669_12420145346&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-394283752452&wl5=9018788&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=505146401&veh=sem_LIA&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjws560BhCuARIsAHMqE0GN7raCYX4BSLSHM3o_Q5-jggDDmRFlhMiB2KkIMlHiL-Q1Bhmrr00aAhA7EALw_wcB https://www.temu.com/foot-and-leg-and-calf-compression-massager-for-circulation-with-heat-and-compression-for-relaxation-gift-for-chrismas-thanking-giving-g-601099533901910.html?top_gallery_url=https%3A%2F%2Fimg.kwcdn.com%2Fproduct%2Ffancy%2Fb40a7328-5b61-4314-88b4-6a485f47c211.jpg&spec_gallery_id=2056406897&share_token=l2j6jWBpcOUoXAqm_4JCzGPkiaALT9fva_pbgHi2KYLkPwYSLAZ2kco9_lQz353Vztex9k60NvppiyDjF5xsCyhLmWJQdXefTCisydaZ569eKjPTJAcWCufcRTVHzdUn&refer_page_el_sn=209279&_x_vst_scene=adg&_x_ads_sub_channel=shopping&_x_ns_prz_type=-1&_x_ns_sku_id=17592290089660&_x_ns_gid=601099533901910&_x_ads_channel=google&_x_gmc_account=647900107&_x_login_type=Google&_x_ads_account=1919904652&_x_ads_set=21119328236&_x_ads_id=160974685118&_x_ads_creative_id=694312278211&_x_ns_source=g&_x_ns_gclid=Cj0KCQjws560BhCuARIsAHMqE0FgUEAvwCFe3tudKl9kaLpV4_A8sfy3NtW5qPMyeXttiajdNQLLgUAaAiI6EALw_wcB&_x_ns_placement=&_x_ns_match_type=&_x_ns_ad_position=&_x_ns_product_id=17592290089660&_x_ns_target=&_x_ns_devicemodel=&_x_ns_wbraid=Cj8KCQjwkJm0BhChARIuAJ8XqdphM-ityb-VLqJi7Dq9h61MrnwwwmrBY5gspiGv8shc_JiL5O9UHJJGHxoCl7Q&_x_ns_gbraid=0Ao4mICGXKLtxnA9xRdV-QnnKtjxO3&_x_ns_targetid=pla-321962298361&refer_page_name=kuiper&refer_page_id=13554_1720217089525_z5l4au3xfp&refer_page_sn=13554&_x_sessn_id=ngh7u5l4ay On Fri, Jul 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM Nichole Rohling wrote: > My bed is adjustable and I do elevate the foot of it in addition > > to propping them up in a wedge. RE: [QUAD-L] Venous Insufficiency
My bed is adjustable and I do elevate the foot of it in addition to propping them up in a wedge. My legs are definitely higher than my heart. My primary wasn’t concerned with bulging vein other than I had phlebitis. I’m on blood thinner for a DVT in 2008. When I was in rehab, they would wrap my legs with ace bandages, but that is a pain. Do the legs of your chair elevate? Keeping your legs elevated might help a little. Truthfully, the best thing to do is to tilt back often to let the blood pooling in your feet travel back towards your heart. If you could tilt back with your feet elevated, it would really be helpful. I have several issues going on with my legs. Yes I tilt back and I prop my feet up on a wedge in bed. I typically spend 14 hours a day in bed and now I think that it caused more harm than good. The great Saphenous vein in left leg has about a golf ball size bulge just below my knee. I’m not sure what the doctor’s solution is going to be so I was curious if anyone has had vein removal, laser, or radiofrequency treatment.
