I had osteopenia, but they still took me off excessive amounts of calcium about 10 years ago. There was a study on this back then which said the same thing. I have had copious amounts of bladder stones and a large kidney stone which developed. So far I am doing better with the bladder stones and a kidney stone is 9 mm, but in a position where it doesn't seem to be causing too much problem. It's better to just get the calcium in a multivitamin and take it in through other vegetables.
