Re: [QUAD-L] Intimate Rider

2016-03-28 Thread Don Price
Todd,
Your email made me laugh out loud. Thanks, I needed that to start my Monday!
Dare I ask: did you ever have a chance to use it? If so, would you say it was
beneficial to you and/or your partner? If you'd prefer to plead the fifth or
answer me privately I'd understand.
How much did you pay and what are you asking?
Best wishes,Don PTempe, AZ

I have an Intimate Rider chair/bench for sale if anyone is interested or knows
anyone.  Can split them of not interested in both.
I'd say you would need to be C5-6 or below to use it effectively.  It also
helps to have a partner otherwise you look silly like I did.  I bought it out
of curiosity and while I was surprised at the initial cost, it is manufactured
very well. I moved recently and was reminded of it when the movers asked what
it was for.  Exercise I said.

Hello everybody. This post goes to all you horndogs out there, I had a couple
contact me through my website (Www.SurvivingParalysis.com) They would like to
either sell or donate an Intimate Rider to somebody or to an organization.
Their only real stipulation is that they want to be able to use it as a tax
write off. You can view one at the following website: www.intimateRider .com

Nice Adventure for the experimental Quad. I would also like to see this
demo'd as a recreational piece of equipment at the nursing home and
retirement centers.

I'd like to read a national endorsement from one of the major Rehab
Institutes across the country before investing in the product.

2009-11-07 Thread Tod E. Santee
Hi All!

I'm attaching this to Don's message because he (half?)-jokingly pointed out
what I was thinking most. On seeing the promotional materials and video it
stated it was for use (in part) by quadriplegics. The guy in the vidclip was
certainly not a quad but that's Ok for demo purposes. However, he was pretty
darned buff as far down to the waist as I could see so he was a pretty low,
high functioning para getting this apparatus moving properly.

My point is it might take all Don listed below and more to stabilize a quad on
this thing for that kind of activity.

I'm not saying it can't be done... God knows I've done plenty of things I'm
told can't be done even by the pros who supposedly know better. It would
take a fair bit of ingenuity (something we ALL have) and interesting
experimentation with loads of caution for a complete quad to use this.

That said, if you have the guts to go for the glory and give this thing a few
shots (no pun intended... maybe), you really owe us an at least an anonymous
logon to let us know how things went! Right? We might all be looking for them
if the ratings are good!

Best wishes good night
