Better late than never. Good article on cooling vests. http://www.activemsers.org/tipstricks/choosingacoolingvest.html On 5/5/2016 9:02 PM, Carolyn Boyles wrote: First, thanks to all of you. I was advised to have a current list of medications on my refrigerator and have it labeled as such. My refrigerator is a bit chaotic, but everyone in my family knows that the list is there so I don't even have to tell anyone if I'm unable to communicate in case of an emergency. It's also a good idea to have a list near your bed. Quadius On Thu, May 5, 2016 at 10:02 PM, Carolyn Boyles wrote: > First, thanks to all of you. Hi Carol. Have you considered your State's Assistive Techology Department? There are cool vest for Quads that will keep you cool during those hot humid days. All over the internet you can find things to keep coolthey have something sold called a Misty Mate they will mist water of you. I use the old trusty small spray bottle 3/4 filled with water, when I over heat, just spray your head and your golden. Always wear a hat and sunglasses as well, avoid prolonged direct sun. Quads kinda heat up in sun and at that point where you are over exerted its very hard to cool down. Stay in the shaded areas and use water to cool down every 20 mins, treat yourself like a radiator.
