With all the problems we already endure, I don't want to put another ( indwelling foley) foriegn obstacle in my body for fear of infection. It took my caregivers about a week to get my body back in order, but occasionally I still slide backward into difficult balance with spasms. During that time. We just spend more time stretching them. Not everyone is a good candidate for a pump. Even though it uses a fraction of the meds vs pills. The pump is also much easier on the liver and kidneys.
