I cant help with insurance but my tax ran out on my Audi and my Xtreme and becasue I was moving house I just forgot about it. I drove the Audi for 3 weeks until a roadside inspection picked me up and simplty sent me a warning letter to get it done. The xtreme was Sorn'd immediately by me and nothing come of that either Appears that the DVLA are a not as harsh as you would expect when tax runs out. You probably got away with it because it was only 3 weeks, so when you did tax it you paid for tax back to the start of the month and covered the 3 weeks. If you’d waited till the end of the month before taxing it and effectively skipped a month you would probably have got a fine. I forgot to renew a sorn once (glad you don’t need to do that now) and they did send me a reminder letter which was a nice surprise. I also got stopped once in my Mondeo by a police car, they told me the car was sorned. I said, i’m sure it isn’t. Then, i realised, i had another Mondeo which was sorned and when the tax renewal came for the Mondeo i was driving i thought it was the other one and sorned it by mistake. Luckily, i had done it before the tax disk on the car had actually expired so after discussing it for a minute they decided the tax disk overrode the sorn and let me go. Which was a relief, there’s a big fine for driving a sorned car. I suppose i wouldn’t get away with that now as the Sorning would have cancelled the tax online and there would be no tax disk to show. [Quantum Owners] Xtreme owners across the UK
Hi guys, I just wanted to find out where all of the Xtreme owners are located across the UK. I have never seen another Xtreme other than my own in all the time I have had this car (apart from online obviously) I am based in South Wales just outside Cardiff The other reason is I was hoping to get some kind of local meet (local meaning within 50 miles of me) So where are you all? And I'm just down the A3 from Chris just outside Woking. There have been a few track days at Llandow that Quantum have attended, including a few Xtremes but not for a few years now. You've missed the biggest gathering as that was Stoneleigh over the Mayday bank holiday. We might be organising a QOC gathering somewhere between the M4 and M40 for later in the summer, but that is still further away.
