[qubes-users] Gaming on Qubes 4.0
Hey guys, i updated all of my Domains and bought Crossover Linux. This Software i installed on my Fedora 29 Domain. An example I wanted buy a game yesterday via bank transfer and I automatically forwarded to the appropriate page. Unfortunately, I can not see the opened page properly and therefore cant do anything. Only if I click chaoticall on it, i see that there is content. Is it even possible to game on the domain, or would I have to install a separate HVM or similar? [qubes-users] Qubes 4.0 +Debian9 with Chuckoo Sandbox on Virtualbox
Hey community, i hope, that someone can help me by following probleme. My main OS is Qubes 4.0. No Dual-boot or other stuff. Only Qubes 4.0 installed. My target: Install Chuckoo Sandbox in Virtualbox on Debian9 https://cuckoo.sh/docs/installation/host/index.html On my Debian9 Template i installed Virtualbox successfully. On Virtualbox i want install Windows7-Pro 64 Bit. First probleme is that i only can use 32bit Version of Windows and also Linux. = After configs and try start Windows7 i become following error message Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908) The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or there is a permission problem with /dev/vboxdrv. Please reinstall the kernel module by executing '/sbin/vboxconfig' as root. where: suplibOsInit what: 3 VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED (-1908) - The support driver is not installed. On linux, open returned ENOENT. = I think i must update my kernel, but how can i do this under Qubes? [qubes-users] Whonix upgrade failure
Hey Community, i tried to following the tutorial to upgrade Whonix 13 to 14. https://www.whonix.org/wiki/Qubes/Install I first start to try uninstall the old Version of Whonix with Option B. When i tried to install the dummy template with following command "sudo qubes-dom0-update qubes-template-dummy" i become some error message "unable to find a match". So i cant create the template and upgrade Whonix. Can anybody says me how to update the Debian 9 Template? I found some tutorials but always become an error message. [qubes-users] Windows7 HVM with no internet connection
Hey guys, since i upgrade my Fedora 26 to 28 my windows7 vm has no internet connection anymore. The old Version of Fedora i deleted completly and i saw that the configuration run over Fedora-26-dvm. The other option is Whonix. Whonix i want upgrade in the next days, but before i want fix the probleme with the connectivity. Over Debian9 and Fedora i can use the internet. Did anyone know to fix the probleme, or can post the correct configs? [qubes-users] Updates to all recommends Vms on Qubes 4.0
Hey Community, I'm an absolute novice regarding Linux, especially Qubes. I have already understood many things very well and I really like the OS. Now I would like to update some virtual machines, including Fedora26, Whonix etc because they are outdated. I have already read and followed the instructions for updating Fedora 26 to 27 and 27 to 28. Unfortunately, I always get an error message when updating (I do not have it in my head because I'm at work). According to a forum, I should change the identity at Tor to successfully install the upgrade. My system tells me that no gate has been installed ??! At Whonix I get an error message from 13 to 14 to update. How can I update Fedora and all other Vms? Hey community, In the next time I would like to work with Photoshop and other programs, which make reasonably high demands on the graphics card. I have already installed the Adobe software on my Windows 7 HVM. Is it possible to install the graphics card drivers there? Or do you have some advice for me to use Adobe, for example under Qubes? Hey guys, 1000 thx to both of your helpfull answers. I downloaded the stuff before into the Cloud and now tried download it. For this i used the Domain:work and made the volume up to 100 GB space and 4096mb memory. The download stops by 100% and all works very slow. Its hard to close the VM on the normal way. Is there any way to download the files without this probleme? Or configs ?? Maybe an update to the Fedora template or anouther configs ? Next time iwill following your steps what both of you wrote. [qubes-users] Download probleme
Hey guys, this community here help me alot, so i hope someome can help me. I tried to . Download some files today, with the Domain:work, untrusted, personal and also vault. After 100%, the Browser freezed and i always must kill them with the Dom0 Terminal promp. A error Message pops up and says something, that the script hangs up. I followed many tutorials about that message, but without success. With the outher Domains, i had the same probleme. I hope,that someone can help. About messages i very happy. Hey again, i instll KeepassX on the Vm "Q" work and put the database in the same Vm. All works perfectly. But if i try to open a website with the autotype function nothing happend. Before i type crtl+k and under windows10 all works without any problems. If i try the same methode under Qubes it not work. I click in the field(username) and on KeePassX with right click perform autotype. Nothing happend. Hey, i install KeepassX successfully. On my external HDD i have the database on it. Now i played a little bit with the AppVm. On "Q" Service:sys-usb he find my external hdd. On "Q" Domain:Vault i install KeePassX before. When i try to put my database in the file directory home-user-Downlads and try opened with Keepassx he cant find the file(The file home lay on my Desktop).On this AppVm i become a warning message if i try to put my USB on it. On "Q" Service:sys-usb i install KeepassX again try to bind the database on it and it works, perfectly. I understand now how that works, but i dont know is it the correct way??? Hey folks, before i install Qubes OS i used Windows 10 with KeePass2 on it. Now I want install KeePass2 and found some same password manager. 1. KeePassX and 2. KeePassXC I think that number two is much more better, because It is constantly evolving ? Is it easily to bind my database (kdbx) in it? The installation process is click and install or work with the terminal? Hey community, tommorow i want finished my Qubes installation on my Notebook. Since I need some programs that only runs on Windows, I now ask myself the question, how can I install Windows on Qubes? Do I risk my privacy with the additional windows installation? I thought about Virtualbox, but that's also a virtual machine. What about Linux Wine?
