(RADIATOR) AuthPort problems and possible solution
We're working with a group for multiple POP access and have run into a port problem. We have set all our equipment to the new 1812/1813 port requirements. However, this company still uses 1645/1646 in their Merit RADIUS and NAS equipment. They have an entry as follows for us: type=NONE:PROXY+APPEND. Obviously I can change back to the old numbers (not desirable), I can have them enter 1812,1813 into their RADIUS (this will work as far as auth requests go, but no accounting info shows up in the detail file, just in the debug logfile. For some reason their requests show up as coming from port 32770). What I'm wondering is if there is any way you can add the AuthPort and AcctPort syntax into the Client clauses. This would seem to make Radiator even more extensible and solve configuration issues such as the one described above. (For the record, I tried just putting the clauses in, but I get a keyword error currently.) Thanks for any help offered. Craig Thompson -- WingNET Internet Services, P.O. Re: (RADIATOR) MD5 Problem
I tried downloading the lastest version of MD 5. (version 2.06) and even the latest version of perl (5.005_56), and installed them and im still getting the errors. when running a make test or a make install it gives me no option to remove the old files. It just runs through as a single command with results and has no prompts. Im unsure as to what you are saying about the makefile.aperl file. I looked at it however didn't see anything that I was looking for. - Original Message - From: Ferhat Dilman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: 'Dialup USA Sales Dept' <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, April 09, 1999 2:57 AM Subject: RE: (RADIATOR) MD5 Problem > Hi again, > > Sorry for another mail. RE: (RADIATOR) MD5 Problem
Hi again, Sorry for another mail. I have just found the file Makefile.aperl that I could not remember in my first reply. This corrects the problem (at least in my Debian Linux case)... RE: (RADIATOR) MD5 Problem
Hi, Did you do make install in MD5 installation steps? It is not documented in README. However even though you do that (it works fine in Solaris), it gives the error you have faced in Debian Linux, too. When you do MD5 make install (or make test, i don't remember well now), it gives two commands: 1 is to remove old files the 2 is to remove intermediate files. I don't recall which is which but I ran the first command and it cleans the files. Then Radiator is happy. :) Good Luck, Ferhat P.S. Solaris installation is just fine for MD5. Linux only problem is I guess. > -Original Message- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On > Behalf Of Dialup USA Sales Dept > Sent: Friday, April 09, 1999 11:50 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: (RADIATOR) MD5 Problem > > > When trying to do the "make test" command or "perl > Makefile.PL" command and > installing radius im getting the following error message. > > Any ideas as to what I need to do to make this work properly. > I had perl 5 > installed on my FreeBSD system and installed the module 5 > version 1.7 today. > I got these errors so I upgraded the to the MD 5 version 2.06 > , however I > am still getting the same errors so now Im thinking it might > not be the > modules but instead the perl 5 that im running. (RADIATOR) Radius Proxy from Linux to Solaris
Hi, I have installed the Radiator 2.13 into Linux Server. It works well standalone. I configured it using AuthBy Radius but it does not work. The Solaris is backend radiator and it is currently on-air working very well. I attached the radius.cfg file of Linux (Debian). Very simple file. The passwords are same. And when we look into Firewall logs ther packets are being sent well. I have tried several times with Trace 4 and 5 but no informative message. In the logfile of Solaris there is nothing. In Solaris, we use Oracle as backend database for authentication and accounting. Nothing special. I have checked the passwords and they are all same. The ports all same and indeed we can find the packets are accepted in the firewall. Anybody has any ideas? Many thanks, Ferhat logfile radius.cfg
(RADIATOR) MD5 Problem
When trying to do the "make test" command or "perl Makefile.PL" command and installing radius im getting the following error message. Any ideas as to what I need to do to make this work properly. I had perl 5 installed on my FreeBSD system and installed the module 5 version 1.7 today. I got these errors so I upgraded the to the MD 5 version 2.06 , however I am still getting the same errors so now Im thinking it might not be the modules but instead the perl 5 that im running. Any thoughts? Anyone know what I should do? su-2.03# perl Makefile.PL Warning: prerequisite MD5 0 not found at (eval 1) line 221. Writing Makefile for Radius su-2.03# Then as I do the "make test" I get about 10 of these errors Can't load module Digest::MD5, dynamic loading not available in this perl. (You may need to build a new perl executable which either supports dynamic loading or has the Digest::MD5 module statically linked into it.) at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/MD5.pm line 8 === To unsubscribe, email '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' with 'unsubscribe radiator' in the body of the message.
