Is the Boom also running WiFi? What is the WiFi signal strength on both devices? I suspect your Radio is actually connected to the free online Logitech server www.MySqueezeBox.com, not connected to your local computer server (the one you downloaded) called SqueezeBox Server (SBS) which is where you seem to have saved your Favorites. This is exactly what I intend to buy the squeezebox radio for. So I'm monitoring this thread with interest. My wife will just want to turn the radio on and go without the PC, so I really need this bit of the squeezebox radio to work fluently. They both run on the same wireless network and the signal of the radio is even stronger than the boom. there is no interference with other networks. Actually everything is just perfect for wireless playback. Is there anything else on the radio I can change??? [SlimDevices: Radio] Can't save playlist as Favorite?
I broke down and bought a Squeezebox Radio today and for the most part I'm impressed. However, I have found a few issues. Most of my current frustration centers around the use of Favorites and Presets. I want to add several of my playlists on my Squeezebox Server as Favorites. However, when I navigate to the Playlists menu, highlight a playlist and press the + key there is no choice to add the playlist to the favorites menu. The primary reason I want to be able to add Playlists to Favorites is so that I can assign them to the Preset buttons on the front of the radio. You should be able to make a playlist a favourite using the web interface.
