I finaly got me a Radio Today a dusty shelf item found at Teknikmagasinet where I live :) I have a long standing problem with all Squeezeplay based devices way of finding the server since i got my controller, this persist with desktop Squeezeplay on any OS . So finally i got it on Radio too. Fault description: When I setup my Radio and after the mysb.com stuff I choose to go to my music, normally this should make your Radio/controller/squeezeplay find your local library instead i get the install sqeezebox server bla bla blurb If I then disable the servers firewall it works splendidly, I can then activate my firewall again and all works just fine. Until next reboot then it cant find my library again ? My workaround that works 100% is this: On any squeezeplay device (in this example Radio) go to. Settings Advanced Networking Remote Libraries Add New Library Here I set my servers ip number 192.168.1.5 From this piont it's works perfect the device always find the library and most important *I can turn on my firewall again*, it works indefinitely. As far as I know the radio just looks if there is a 'next' alarm and then shows the icon (even when 'next' means in two days). [SlimDevices: Radio] Remote Control volume bug?
I have a Squeezebox Boom and Radio. They both use the same remote control. I just noticed that to adjust the volume on the Radio you must push the volume control button one time for every number that you wish to increase the volume. In other words, to adjust the volume from 10 to 65 you must push the button 55 times. It appears that the Radio alarm icon will not drop off on off days if you simply hit the Off button - Need to first turn the alarm to off, then push the Off button. It's still a bug for me - I am using an SB3 remote until my Radio remote arives - Radio is intentionally across the room - I like to just hit Off on the remote and be done with it. Works the way I want it to on the Boom. I think i voted for the bug, also - Hard to tell. In my experience, the alarm icon is only present when the alarm fires within the next 24 hours. My alarm is also set for Monday to Friday at 6:00 AM. After it fires on Friday I do not see any alarm icon until sunday at 6:01 AM. I've actualy been up and witnessed the alarm icon re-appear on Sunday mornings. As you mention, that is the correct behavior, the alarm icon should show if there is a scheduled alarm within the next 24 hours. Tried another universal remote, this time from Best Buy. I had this idea in my head that it would be really cool if the number pad worked to go to the presets, because the actual Squeezebox remote doesn't have that feature. Here's what I tried.
