Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] changing from server to server?
I run tiny-SBS on my Touch, but still my Touch cannot be seen by the Radio. For those of us who prefer not to run a local server, but don't mind tinkering around inside a Linux filesystem, is there perhaps a geeky way to do it using telnet or similar? If so, I'd be grateful if somebody could point me to a page (hopefully) that documents the various settings and where they're kept. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] CBC Radio One and Two problems
I've been playing around with this and found a solution that works for now, hopefully for good. Apparently the streaming URLs of all the CBC stations have changed. You can find the new locations on the radio by searching for the stations by name. Go to Search and enter CBC Montreal, and it will find the new location. Then push the big scrollwheel to get "More Info." You'll be able to scroll down and see the new URL. But I'll save you this trouble-here's the CBC Radio 1 Montreal URL: http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s25436&partnerid=16 Now you can go to Favorites in mysqueezebox.com. Add the station URL manually and it will always be there on the radio for you, at least till they change it again. :) Note, the only thing that changes in this URL is the 5 digit number after "id=s". So, just copy and paste that URL and change those numbers. Here are some more numbers for CBC Radio 1 stations: Halifax:25284 Toronto:20305 Winnipeg:31108 Vancouver:31104 and, just for you, Sudbury: 20250 I hope this works for a long time so we don't have to go through this again. They'll probably change it tomorrow. :) -- Mlaurence Mlaurence's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39380 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80594 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] CBC Radio One and Two problems
Hi Mlaurence, I should have noted that I do not use the alarm function of the SBR. I tried it once, but determined that it was more effective to use a small alarm clock. This morning, I was able to access CBC Sudbury via a preset. I did not try to tune in to other stations but will make an attempt later in the day. Last evening, when using a preset, the radio did freeze when I attempted to switch to another station, thus I too had to reboot. It seems that if I turn on the radio with a preset and then within a moment switch to another station, I do not often encounter the freeze issue on a consistent basis. Your comment about using the "Search" function is of interest. Can I assume that you do this by going through all the standard steps for locating a station? I have never tried to use "Search" for a specific program. As to you wishing to listen to "The Current," I also enjoy the show. In addition, I find "Q" to be of great quality. Numerous other programs are of interest. Enjoy the day. -- loonlistener loonlistener's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33875 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80594 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] CBC Radio One and Two problems
Same problems this morning. I had CBC Montreal on the alarm but it failed to start and then I couldn't tune in any stations until I rebooted the radio. After that, I couldn't tune in any CBC stations using my presets or the CBC app. Then I tried something different. I used Search to look for Current, the name of the program that was on. This produced a selection of CBC stations complete with pretty logos showing their frequencies. And, they all work! There's a clue here on what has gone wrong and how to fix it, but other than using Search for every program I want to hear on the CBC, I don't know what it is. -- Mlaurence Mlaurence's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39380 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80594 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

That is acceptable so I withdraw that criticism. That option is only configurable and usable if connecting to the full SBS server on a computer. Simply pressing Play or a Preset are your one button options to streaming from Standby. -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80785 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
