Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] CBC Radio One and Two problems

2010-07-30 Thread loonlistener

Hi Mlaurence,

It was kind of you to provide information regarding the solution that
you found regarding accessing CBC stations. In particular, I am deeply
appreciative of your kindness in providing the various URLs, not the
least of which is the one for CBC One Sudbury.

Although I have yet to try your solution, I have not experienced
problems with accessing the stations over the past two days. My presets
are working, although I did have to search and then input the setting
for CBC One Victoria. Last night, my radio froze, but just the one
time.

Hopefully, I won't have to implement your solution but am pleased that
it is available if the need arises.

Thanks again, Mlaurence.

Lucky you. Your message gave me hope, so I thought I'd check it out.
Still on again off again album art. 'Shuts off 15 seconds after
turning on" problem happens much less, but has happened. Occasionally,
just as in prior versions, cannot connect to an app streaming source
(ex: MP3Tunes) & have to reboot to connect.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] changing from server to server?

2010-07-30 Thread Hagen-Dazs

Thanks, this must be my problem. Unfortunately, my Radio is in the
bathroom, where I need a wireless connection, and my Touch is situated
in my living-room where I prefer to use a wired connection. I guess I
could switch my main-router with one with wireless capabilities - that
would solve the issue. Thanks again!

It sure can be. If each router is independent of the other than you
have two separate networks, one cannot see the other.
I'd bet if both Touch & Radio were connected via the same router they
would see each other.

I don't use two routers so I'm not sure exactly how to properly set
them up so both are on the same network.
The most common issue with having two routers is that each one is
handing out IP's which can cause either IP conflicts or create two
different "networks".
It is best to make one router handle DHCP and the other not assign
IP's.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox Accessory Pack

2010-07-30 Thread ru486

After checking with Logitec and learning the accessory kit is still out
of stock I just built a second battery for my other radio using the
Small Green Computer kit and NiMH batteries fron Battery Junction. The
parts arrived in less than a week and it took about an hour to build.
Both radios work perfectly and each battery charges fine. They last 4-5
hours with the volume cranked up. Cost was about $27 US.

Radio is connected to MySB.com, but cannot switch to Touch. It can see
my iMac.
Touch can´t find my Radio.
Radio is wirelessly connected to my Time Capsule. Touch is wired to my
main router. Is that a problem?

Both are connected to the same router?
Is Radio on MySB.com? If so try Radio > My Music > switch to Touch
Can Touch see your Radio? Touch > Settings > Choose Player > Radio
