Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Distorted audio with one 128kbps station
Just as a proof of principle: MPC-HC allows to remap one of channels to 2 output channels. Use virtual audio device as output. Create a stream from it using VLC. It works but it is neither practical nor reliable. -- shurik shurik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40424 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81969 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

[SlimDevices: Radio] I'd Like Japanese Fonts on My Squeezebox Radio
Can you help? I'd like Japanese Fonts on my Squeezebox Radio. I just bought it. I saw on the forums info about this concerning the Touch model but what about the Squeezebox Radio? I have tons of music in Japanese text. Any ideas? If it can be done I would need detailed instruction on how to do it. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] SBR has died can anyone help?
I'd suggest a Hard Reset. You may have to unplug your Radio if the Power Off button is not responsive. SB Radio Hard Reset = - power off Radio (press hold POWER button, see goodbye on screen) - press hold + button - power ON Radio - continue holding + until you see Factory Settings Restored - wait till Radio completely reboots on its own -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82170 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Instructions that work with a Touch should also work with a Radio. [SlimDevices: Radio] Sound Quality great but needs tone control
The sound quality of my SB Radio is great for music but for BBC Radio 4 it lacks a little bite to help intelligibility. I assume that there is a bit of gentle DSP tailoring going on. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] I'd Like Japanese Fonts on My Squeezebox Radio
I think the best explanation is this one (working without SD-card): http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=535114postcount=3 Some additions as its written there very short: to copy files over to the Radio, you can use the program 'WinSCP' (you need to active remote access in the Radios advanced menu before). To 'ssh' into your Radio you can either use linux or a mac, where this command works directly from the command line. If you use Windows I'd suggest to download the program 'putty'. This one can connect to the Radio and you'll be able to enter the needed commands. Oh - and on the iPad Japanese seems to work instantly as can be seen on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLgwOEyFBbs (hope this is japanese) This video also shows the results on a Touch so this should give you some motivation :D -- bluegaspode Big Screen for great Boxes available now at your AppStore: *'Squeezebox + iPad = SqueezePad ' (www.squeezepad.com) *! Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Internet Traffic After SB OFF
I think what you are suggesting is that pause is working as expected, however when taping the power button the connection should be terminated. My prior response was to give an explanation for what you were observing. Continuing to buffer when pausing but immediately terminating the connection when powering down seems sensible to me. I was surprised to discover it didn't work that way. You do have to maintain the connection to mySB (or SBS) for control, but that is modest compared to the streaming traffic. -- Ron Stordahl Ron Stordahl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39204 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82144 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
