Wow! It works now, just when my PC (and Squeezebox server) is on :-( I still was planning (for other needs) to buy a NAS device. This could be a solution, i hope. I've seen that Synology DS can work as Squeezebox server too. I opened a support ticket with Logitech and they replied today and told me to try a different channel on my router. But, I live on an acreage and there are no other wireless networks in range and only the radio has problems. [SlimDevices: Radio] Time zone issue
I originally installed my Squeezebox when my computer was using Win XP as it's only operating system. I have recently installed a 2nd hard drive and Win 7 Home Premium as a 2nd operating system. I can connect the Squeezebox to either system and the internal computer clock is correct for both operating systems. The issue is if I set the time zone on the Squeezebox to EST, which is correct for where I am, and then if I reboot to the Win 7 system the Squeezebox changes the time to 3 hours ahead. For example if its 2 PM and I reboot to Win 7 the radios clock changes to 5 PM. My work around is to reset the time zone on the radio to Pacific time. Anyone have any idea what could be going on and how to fix it? Yes, I know that effect. Albeit not during normal playback, I can trigger it when I run a rescan of my library. At the end of the scan the radio stops playing, with the symptoms mentioned above (controls still functional etc.). I suppose it is some kind of timeout issue from which the radio does not recover properly. In the past couple of weeks, one of my radios too has been losing the wifi signal. It connects only to mysqueezebox.com. Last night- I did advanced, switch to ethernet wired connection, and it hung solidly. After a few minutes, I tried pulling the power- BUT- the battery dutifully kept the hung radio HUNG. So I had to uninstall the battery just to reboot. I wish I could go, say, 6 months without something breaking on these things. It's probably because your playlist is very large.
