Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] is SBRadio ready for IPv6?

2011-03-12 Thread jedamus

Hi!

My ISP is going to switch over to IPv6 soon, my router is capable of
doing it as well.

Thanks for the answers.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Force Choose Network at hard power-on?

2011-03-12 Thread toby10

To confirm JJZolx's comments, my Radio performs exactly as prescribed.

No matter what the off state it always reconnects to my WiFi network.
This is using WPA2+AES and a hidden SSID. You should be broadcasting
yours.

When yours does not reconnect is the WiFi icon blue or red (I presume
red)?
What happens if you reboot the router with the Radio already connected?
Same issue? Or does the Radio correctly connect after a router
reboot?
Is their SSID a unique name? Maybe it is initially attempting to
connect to a neighboring WiFi?

2011-03-12 Thread slate

Even today there are many routers in the store that can't do IPv6.

Otherwise I assume that when the time comes I will get a router that do
IPv6 outside while maintaining a IPv4 internally - no problems for
anything that I own today.

[SlimDevices: Radio] Power/Boot issues - Can only boot when keeping power button pressed continuously

2011-03-12 Thread ninjarobot

Last week I turned off my Squeezebox Radio (by keeping the power button
pressed for 2 sec) and after that it refused to turn on again.

I tried plugging in on different sockets in the house and plugging in
the connector at the base of the unit. Nothing worked. Today I realized
the power adapter from one of my external hard drives has the same type
connector and provides 12V, 2A and since these are roughly the same
specs as the battery pack I decided to give it a go.

Plugging this alternative adapter shows the logitech logo however it
turns off after a couple of seconds. After I while I realized that I am
able to fully boot the radio if I keep the power button pressed
continuously. However the moment I take my finger of the power button
it shuts off.

Using this method I tried to restore factory settings to see if that
would fix my power-on issues but no dice. I can only boot to the select
your language screen now but am unable to progress since the rotating
selector does not seem to work while the power button is pressed.

I realize this is a bit of an odd problem and I am not sure if the
fault lies with the Radio or the Adapter. Any help appreciated! :)

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] New Dimming Question (Manual) -- power saving dim?

2011-03-12 Thread m_ga...@hotmail.com

I supposed you could turn off the automatic brightness.

Settings brightness brightness control manual .

And the use the manual brightness setting

But this does not actually work, the radio still has that behavior
thats it's slightly brighter when fiddling with it, feature or bug ?
 (or both)

 Btw
I think it actually saves the display itself .

Hi,

I don't think this possibility applies to duet controller?

I'm going bananas over this, as soon as I restar the controller or
start playing a song, the brightness goes right back up to full again.

Can someone please point me in the right direction here?

Thanks!
