Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] SqueezeBox Radio - Dented box $119.99
You guys are right, that one link did mention a remote, I just didn't see it. Anyway, the radios arrived today and I have no idea why there were advertised as "dented box". Both radios were brand spanking new. The boxes were not dented and the the round plastic sticker that seals the box was still sealed. Inside, both radios were in mint condition. The plastic wrap and all packaging was unopened. I saw no difference between these radios and the other new ones I'd bought. I think I got a very good deal and am very pleased. -- realcodeguy realcodeguy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86544 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Can I save 'my music' (random) as a Pre-Set
Steve, I'm running the WHS version of the SBS so I'm no sure if you are seeing the same thing I am. Is there a link in your settings that says Web Interface - Advanced Settings"? If so, click that and it will launch your web browser to a page that will let you modify settings via a web interface. Then, click in the upper left hand corner of that page where it says "Squeezebox Server" and it will load the web UI we are referring to. Let us know what you find. -- realcodeguy realcodeguy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86597 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
[SlimDevices: Radio] Need a troubleshooting sticky
There seems to be a lot of good advice on these boards, but it is scattered all over the place and can be hard to find. It would be handy to try and condense all that info into a logical set of steps for a certain type of problem. Let me start off with what is going on with my radio as I type this... I tune to a station (CBC Calgary) the radio plays for approximately 1 to 2 minutes normally then goes back to the menus. Sometimes a full menu, sometimes a partial menu. Sometimes the radio tries to start playing again automatically and shows the tower symbol and station banner, but no sound. My radio is connected wirelessly to a router approximately 6 feet away. Here is what I tried: 1) Checked Diagnostic screens: - Shows 100 % signal. - Shows ping is OK - Shows tcp ports 3483/9000 are Ok - Shows registered. 2) Set my computer to continuously ping 184.73.179.154 - While the radio continually reset (5 times or so), the computer never dropped a single ping request. 3) Watched the wireless symbol at the bottom of the screen and it never went off white once through the entire ordeal. So, this is where I am and I have no idea what to try next. It seems maybe the server is down or having problems but I do not know how to test that. This is why a stickied troubleshooting guide would be handy. -- gibbs gibbs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43117 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86659 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Can I save 'my music' (random) as a Pre-Set
Thanks Realcodeguy. I looked in all my squeezebox server settings and do see "random mix" Either I am not on the same page as everyone else or something weird is going on. I will live with it for now. Thanks all. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Force "Choose Network" at hard power-on?
Just to add to the above post, a lot of times only the top or bottom half of a receptacle will be switched. Make sure you try both sockets. -- gibbs gibbs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43117 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86274 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
[SlimDevices: Radio] Won't accept password
Received my SB today and entered my password at least 6 times and no luck. I tried the same with my passphrase with no luck. Converted both to hex and no luck either. I have a Netgear WNR3500L (it's an 'n' router, SSID Broadcast is enabled, it's WPA2-PSK (AES). The radio is less than 2' from the router and the signal is maximum. The radio picked up the router and then I went through the setup procedure but the password was the problem. It is the correct password, no typos when entered in ASCII or HEX. I did try a wifi near here and it gives me 2-bars signal strength but the radio picks it up and has been working flawlessly. Any info would be great. Also I'd like to know how I can get back to the display where all the wifi's/routers are listed so I can keep trying my own router/password, etc. Thanks -- azphil azphil's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45123 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86657 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Did you try re-installing the firmware? Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio tower constantly showing
Thanks for responding, Steve. The problem described has been intermittent over the past year. For an unknown reason, rebooting the radio always brought back the artwork. Over the past two days, that has not been the case. Although I remain pleased that I can listen to my presets and other stations, I am annoyed that I cannot note which program is being broadcast, although I am familiar enough with the show times, and am presented with a black and white radio tower versus making full use of the color LCD. However, in the grand scheme of things, the issue is minor. Again, thanks for replying. -- loonlistener loonlistener's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33875 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86641 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio tower constantly showing
I gave up on mySB.com and now use my own server. I'm not sure what causes the issue, or why it doesn't happen on all streams, but it seemed to happen on most of the ones I like. Logitech doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fix it which added to my motivation. I'm not sure why rebooting the radio helped. In my case it was pretty consistent. [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio tower constantly showing
Hello to all: Although I know this topic has been addressed numerous times, I feel compelled to describe a current problem that I have not encountered before. In the past, rebooting the SBR or performing a hard reset resulted in the art work feature working once again. For the past two days, however, only the radio tower is showing on all stations. I have performed the above mentioned resets but with no positive results. I am not running a server. The latest software update was performed one month ago. My WiFi signal is strong. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can solve the problem? Enjoy the day, all. -- loonlistener loonlistener's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33875 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86641 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
