Ok thats probably me having such simple and oldfashioned router myself. much of the never stuff have old kinds of " features " that does not really help with such a thing like setting up the network, feature overloading stuff is the modern way. Who want's " guest networks " and " familly filters " in the router ? it was probably the " auto " word that got me suspicius :) it may work fine ( or not ). There could be all kinds of propriotary settings in routers designed to make " faster wifi " that only work well the same brand wifi adapter in the pc etc :-/ . The idea is to get it as vanilla as possible, one network ( 192.168.0.x ) same subnet etc one DHCP if such thing are present, if static ip's are in use keep the dhcp range of those, and my personal favorite wire everything that is stationary, keep the wifi for the mobile stuff. -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Change in internet service
Should be pretty simple. Just update your email on MySB.com, then delete players from MySB web UI. Next time your players log into MySB you should be offered to change your account. Then it is just as you did on the initial player setup. Or, just don't update your MySB email info at all. The only real need for having a "current" email on MySB is if you should need to reset your password. Never lose your password and there is really no need to even update your MySB email. :) -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90812 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

[SlimDevices: Radio] Change in internet service
I am considering changing my internet provider from Brighthouse to At&T U-verse, which would mean getting a new e-mail address as well. Considering how often there are issues with the logitech devices which rely on the wifi connection I was wondering if anyone had been down this road before? Is it a big deal when changing the e-mail address and internet provider to get the various squeeze boxes and booms around the house set up again. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Lost wifi connection and unable to reconnect ?
AUTO WPA seems suspicius ? WPA-AES or WPA-TKIP is it not what the duet supports ,WPA2-AES if avaible. the design is a bit old so , do not use some new and fancy modes . it's a 801.11 G device so it is not N compitable so wireless must be both G & N, by all means turn off B mode. Do not use mac filtering it's useless, a thing many misses about the duet is that it is two things a reciever and a controller so it is 2 mac adresses, so it's not uncommon to shut out one of them. -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. Don't use channel 13 (any channel >11) with the Radio unless you patch the Radio as described here: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17071 Although it works for some, it is definitely more trouble than its worth and can lead, itself, to exactly the symptoms being described. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Lost wifi connection and unable to reconnect ?
Try some very basic WiFi tweaks (1-5 require admin access to your router to try these simple changes) & simple troubleshooting: 1. use a unique SSID name (name of your network/router) 2. if using a G WiFi: set WiFi to G only (turns off a & b modes) 3. if using an N WiFi: set to G Compatibility mode (if using G devices) 4. change the broadcast channel to the least used channel near you 5. choose only channels 1 or 6 or 11 (or 13 if available) 6. router and WiFi antenna orientation adjustments can help signal strength 7. keep router away from other electronic devices (cordless phones, ISP modem, computers) 8. reboot WiFi router every once in a while (once a month is usually sufficient) If your WiFi network card software already gives the ch numbers and the signal strength of all nearby networks, that's all you need. But there are free programs like NetStumbler if needed. -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86061 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
