Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] LCD Display / White halo
You mean the backlight? It's only a problem when the room is dark and the display bright, right? If so, the solution is to lower the brightness of the display. It's under Settings in the Radio's menu. -- Soulkeeper 'Bug 17797: Updating wiki.slimdevices.com' (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17797) Soulkeeper's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35297 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93480 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

The problem is especially visible at night but also visible in daylight ... Accustomed logitech product, I am disappointed with the LCD which is not good -- kyrst92 kyrst92's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=54089 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93480 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] LCD Display / White halo
The display on the Radio is fine. You simply need to set it to automatic brightness control (which is the default setting) and adjust the minimum brightness to your liking. The Radio has a light sensor and will adjust the LCD brightness according to the ambient light. The default minimum brightness setting might be a bit too bright at night. -- Pascal Hibon 1 x SB3, 1 x SB Boom, 1 x SB Radio and 1 x SB Touch - all wireless ReadyNAS NVX running LMS 7.7.1. w iTunes plugin iPeng on iPod Touch. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] LCD Display / White halo
Have you adjusted the Brightness settings to be very low output when the light sensor kicks in? It would be interesting to know because, if they ever shut it down, our SBRs will apparently be virtually useless. Please tell me I'm mistaken. -- TopGeek Licenced radio amateur. That's actually a very good question. I'd like to know the answer to this as well. LMS is Logitech Media Server. It's software that runs on your computer or NAS (network attached storage) for serving audio to Squeezeboxes. The biggest difference from mysb.com is that LMS allows you to play your own music, provided it is on a hard disk available somewhere on your home network. It also allows you to listen to internet radio without mysb.com. And yes, if you take the Radio and go on vacation, but leave the computer with LMS behind, you won't have access to the stations you saved on LMS. (Actually you may be able to connect to the LMS computer remotely over the internet, but that topic is a little too advanced for this discussion.) -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93488 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
