Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Downgrade Fried my Radio

Caught that. Once I had to do it moving it around this morning even with
the old one then again and it worked without having to do that. I'm
still on the fence what to do. Never felt the need for the battery.
Guess if ipad a backyard or summer house it would be an awesome feature
but frankly it's a bedroom clock radio so what do I need a battery for.
If they never fix the main screen recorder of apps and the snooze I
couldn't care less I have snooze at the top of my homepage and use it as
a timer for my morning music that shuts off as I walk out the door or at
most moments lanter. I would never use that buried in the settings. Are
these people retarded. I was thinking of buying the newest grace radio
to replace this but it has no spotify app. Pandora is so 2010.

All that garym said, and be aware that if you opt to keep the SBRadio
you may have to do the "hold the rewind button while powering up"
routine whenever it has been disconnected from the power supply, which
is what I have to do, (but not very often).

Hard to believe isn't it. I got to use my radio last night and this
morning. The old firmware is awesome, the new a disaster. I'd have to
send in my current radio and wit for anew one. Considering I really
don't take the radio anywhere and live in an apartment I'm not sure I
really need the battery. They sad it would take about 10 days. Not sure
I can live10 days without the Radio. lol.

Amazing? Really? I find this to be the norm rather than the exception
with any customer service interaction I have these days (for almost any
product or service). And from what I can tell from reading the forums
for years, the front line Logitech customer service is particularly
ignorant of how the Squeezebox line works.

Anyhow, glad to see you got your radio working. Can you keep the old
radio until you receive the new one? If so, maybe wait and make sure
you can convert the new radio OK back to Squeeze. Then at least you
received a battery for your trouble.
