Hi, that looks like a "routing / dns" issue... Your able to see the radio in your own network the radio cant connect to the internet (mysqueezebox.com) Ive had a similar issue [i am not using any outside streams like mysb] with my ISP until i setup my own dns service in my local network. I've just seen personal examples of static IP > solving some problems with reconnecting. Hopefully, some another forum > member can provide a more technical explanation of the potential issue. Hi its quite simple... On DHCP everything is quite easy for beginners - they only have to setup / change their settings once ion a central managed System. So SB boxes are (just look @ 95% of the other questions) are made for homeusers they didnt know nothing about Networking and therefore if the SB didnt find a dhcp ack in the net they pop up a menu to enter the Ip manual. The odd thing about DHCP is - its Dynamic not all homeoffice Routers do ping a Adress to check if the address isnt in use right now and just looking in their database what may the next free adress and told that the system thats asking for a ip. Since almost everyone uses Notebooks / Tablet / smartphones a Powerfailure in the House just restarts the Router not the client - in case of dhcp this might be a problem in case of a static IP - not that much. So the resume is dhcp is fine for Smartphones/ Systems without a Keyboard that often cheges the Network (WLAN) - static IP is fine for Networkers / Server static Systems once setup after that just works Headless somewhere. Btw: Its a good idea to uses separate Networks for separate Topologies - 192.168.10.0/ 24 for Ethernet / 192.168.11.0/24 for Wlan - but most Homerouters cant manage two Networks:p Not allows the whole IP Range for DHCP and reserve some few for statics is always on the todolist. (Dont setup a System to use eg. 192.168.99.10 static and use a DHCP Range that may can handle this 192.168.99.10 Adress - it should only use eg 192.168.99.30 till 192.168.99.40) Gruss Jan DJanGo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1516 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100787 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

sounds strange.. normaly in a Home network under Ipv4 you should place the NAS behind the firewall and manage the way from outside with nat/portforwarding. In a offce Lan it would placed outside between two firewalls that szenorio is called dmz. So we dont know whats your firewall settings, which ports are open and which are not. The Radio itself can manage and connect to an passwordprotected LMS. May you also got some @ü chars in the password? Some Sheets will say its Stereo - i knew there is just one Speaker. Is the Amp inside mono (1 Channel) or Stereo (2 Channels)? I some Sheets i'd read there should be a Phonejack - in some tests they say there is nothing like that. If there is a Phonejack the Amp inside must be Stereo? I Play with the Idea to buy a Radio - dismante it and make something like a boom out of it for my Kid. Is that possible? Thanks for your suggestions.
