Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox Radio would not connect to LMS 8: "Update required"
I am currently running LMS 8.0 with multiple squeezeboxes including a few (already patched) Radios. I will soon be acquiring another Radio which is being retired by a friend. This Radio will not have the patch installed and my not even have the latest firmware. Do I need to downgrade to 7.9 before connecting this Radio, or will I be able to install the latest firmware and the patch while running the latest 8.0? Since you run LMS, I would check the logs. You may want to enable some of the player logging options. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Listening to any talk show on demand on your Squeezebox
This is pretty cool. I missed the original announcement, but tested this a bit last night. As an NPR listener, most of what I would want to listen to delayed already have podcasts. For the few that don't, this is a nice solution. I noticed that when recordings complete, it takes a few hours of "processing" before they are available for listening. This seems like a long time. Rules and decorum are not the same thing. AFAIK, rants and other negative posts have never been removed or edited unless they contained profanity or personal attacks. As someone who has been here a long time because I like the products and enjoy helping others, here's how I see it: Over time, the volume of rants has increased here. And many of those complaints are valid, but not expressed in a constructive manner. Personally, I tend to skip over those messages (and future messages by the same author) quite quickly. I suspect others do the same. So, if an angry rant makes you feel better, go for it. Just do it with the knowledge that a calmly worded description of your problem is more likely to elicit helpful responses. -- Mark Miksis Mark Miksis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79845 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

On the SBC, you can revert to the previous working firmware by holding vol-up during power-on. I forget how to do this on a Radio. Maybe vol-up on an IR remote. There's also (I think) a front panel button for this. There is no way to "downgrade" to an old version of mysqueezebox.com. I suggest you try to get used to the new way that presets and favorites work.
