Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Using radio headphone socket and speaker
Hi; I've been using my radio with an added sub connected through the headphone-jack for a few weeks. I've also installed Erland's "Custom alarm window", and each morning (after I've finished multi-snoozing) I select alarm off with the big knob so I can see my main screen with big clock and weather forecast etc, but I immediately turn the music back on. Once I do this the speakers default back to just the headphone-jack, and I have to go into the headphones switch menu, and switch back to "both on" again. Anyone else having problems with the sound defaulting back? Any suggestions? Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Using radio headphone socket and speaker
Thanks Soulkeeper; I will try some tweaking, but the sound quality is noticeably reduced in the SBR's internal speaker, not the sub itself. So for example; if I turn the Sub fully-off, but have it plugged into the headphone-jack, and select, "Both on", in the "Headphone switch" app, the sound quality of the music coming only out of the SBR's internal speaker, is low quality. If I then pull the Sub-jack out of the SBR, the sound automatically improves, this is an improvement only in the SBR's internal speaker. Can tweaking the Sub's Phase (0 or 180), Low Pass (80-160Hz), or Volume, effect the quality of the SBR's internal speaker? Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Using radio headphone socket and speaker
Hi all, I just enabled the bluegaspode/abdndamo HeadphonesApplet, and it appears to be working properly. I loaded the app so I could connect a powered sub in combination with the SBR's internal speaker and I noticed right away a reduction in the quality of the internal speaker. If I play a song and unplug the headphone-sub, the radio's internal speaker immediately reverts back, and sounds great again. Have you guys also found this to be the case? Kinda nulls the purpose if you get a reduced sound quality. -- MartinG MartinG's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40452 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80484 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Stereo speaker add-on
Thanks I will try the "trick" Do you know if you're able to switch the headphone-jack (side of SBR) and line-in jack (back of SBR)? I would prefer to not have a cable permanently sticking out of the side of the SB Radio. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Stereo speaker add-on
I've got (2) radios (night stand and kitchen), and maybe I should have bought Booms instead, but I do find the Radio weak on low Hz, as expected for its size. I would like to add a powered subwoofer, like you can with the Boom's Headphones/Sub-out jack. Is this possible, while continuing to use the radio's internal speaker?
