Question: Would You Like the Option To Turn-Off the Auto-Toggle of the
Speaker

- Yes - I Can See a Great Benefit in Using That
- No - Sounds Useless to Me
- I Don't Care Just Show Me The Results

Thanks ply!

Believe me I searched... I just guess I used the wrong keywords

[SlimDevices: Radio] Feature Request - Disable Headphone Speaker Toggle

2011-03-22 Thread illusion8055

Hi,

I am not sure if this is the correct place to put a feature request,
but here it goes.

I would like to be able to turn off the auto-toggling of the on-board
speaker if the Squeezebox Radio detects something was plugged into the
3.5mm headphone jack.

Basically I would like to hookup a subwoofer to my Squeezebox radio to
shore up the low end a bit. The subwoofer turns on and off if it senses
a signal. As it is now when I plug in the sub the on-board speaker turns
off.

Thanks!

[SlimDevices: Radio] Improve Headphone Out Quality or Add TOSLINK

2011-03-18 Thread illusion8055

I know that generally a Touch, Transporter or SB2/3 is better for audio
out quality. That being said I have two SB3s and one SB Radio.

When I first purchased the SB Radio I wanted to use it as it's
designed. Since then my needs have changed and I wanted to know if
anybody else has tried or had any success in modifying the audio out
capabilities of the SB Radio.

I once soldered in an op-amp and got COAX digital out on my Dish 3100
receiver, so I presume it wouldn't be a big stretch to do something
similar with the SB Radio.

I was thinking to either modify the headphone out or just simply add
the coax connector on the back.

Any feedback/suggestions?
