I also had a radio that developed the symptoms described, the volume pot (rotary encoder) didn't always respond. If you put pressure on the control it seemed to kinda work correctly. Sounded like a poor connection on the circuit board. I disassembled the radio, removed display cover and circuit board then re-soldered the volume control connections on the circuit board. The connection feeds thru the board so it required top and bottom re-soldering. I submitted bug report 17068 almost 18 months ago. A one point Logitech claimed that they fixed the problem. The problem was not fixed and I reopened the report, there have been additional people reporting the same problem. [SlimDevices: Radio] Submitted Bug 17068 one year ago/Lost Artwork
Well it's been one year since I first submitted Bug 17068. At one point Logitech claimed that it was fixed, but it wasn't and I reopened the report. Since then there have been numerous firmware updates that didn't fix the problem. The problem is that I lost all artwork when playing radio stations using mysqueezebox.com. Radio just displays the default radio tower. Artwork displays fine when using squeezebox server. I normally listen to the radio at night when my computer is turned off and rely on mysqueezebox.com. I received another firmware update this morning. Still no fix for missing artwork. Same issue, no artwork on any radio stations when connected to mysqueezebox.com. Just the default radio tower. Works fine when connected to Logitech Media server. Is anybody looking into this issue? Based on comments a lot of people have this issue. Received new firmware last night (7.6), hoped it would fix missing artwork problem. Now I don't even have the default radio tower, just a blank screen. Artwork still displays correctly when using squeezebox server. Maybe everybody who has this problem and their radio is still under warranty should ask Logitech replace the radio with one that works as advertised. I added a Bugzilla report (Bug 17068) on 3-16. It hasn't been assigned yet and probably never will. I'm having the same problem with missing artwork. It seemed to start a few months ago when I was listening to Coast to Coast AM and squeezbox.com went down. When I switched to a different preset station it was missing artwork. Been that way since, I believe something was set in the radio that prevents artwork from showing. Although I get artwork when using squeezbox server on my computer. I filed a trouble report with Logitech but I doubt it's being addressed. I have the same problem, tried going back to previous firmware version, tried reinstalling current version, and tried resetting radio to factory defaults. Nothing worked. I do get artwork when running server. Don't want to have computer running all the time get around a Logitech bug. Listed this as a problem on Logitech site, although I don't think it will be addressed soon. Suddenly my radio doesn't display the artwork for the selected preset radio stations, I just get the default radio tower. I tried restoring factory settings and installing everything again, didn't help. I do get the artwork when using the squeezebox server but not when using squeezbox.com. Any ideas on what I can try.
