Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Wi-Fi 6

2020-09-21 Thread squmhe

The problem (quoted below) does NOT occur when using either of these two
routers (instead of an ASUS AX3000):

TP-Link Archer AX50
Netgear AX1800 RAX15

In both cases, Wi-Fi 6 is enabled and works well. And no problem with
the Squeezebox Boom.

Unknown if ASUS has fixed the AX3000 (I reported the problem to them.)

P.S. As the TP-Link Archer ran warmer than I preferred, I returned it
in favor of the Netgear AX1800 RAX15, which runs much cooler.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Wi-Fi 6

2020-06-15 Thread squmhe

Is it known yet if this is an "Squeezebox / ASUS" problem, or a
"Squeezebox Radio / Wi-Fi 6" problem?

My network involves 4 access points, one of which I just replaced with
an ASUS AX3000 -- and that's when the connection problem started. The
ASUS AX3000 is the only access point that supports Wi-Fi 6.

It's interesting that my SqueezeBox Radio connects a different access
point (not the ASUS AX3000). I.e., just adding the ASUS AX3000 to the
network provokes the connection problem between the radio and a
different access point (the radio shows a strong signal, but all bars
are red, not white).

The connection problem does not occur when Wi-Fi 6 is turned off.

I'm seeing the same problem with an ASUS AX3000, also running in Access
Point mode.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Podcasts visible on Boom, but not on Radio

2012-02-11 Thread squmhe

Thanks. That worked.

But I thought one reason for using Logitech Media Server is to
eliminate any dependence on mysqueezebox.com, which in theory could be
discontinued if Logitech drops the SqueezeBox products.

With the prior solution (which I don't seem to be able to get back to
now), all info appeared to stored with the Media Server.

Is there no way to set up podcasts without using mysqueezebox.com?

[SlimDevices: Radio] Podcasts visible on Boom, but not on Radio

2012-02-09 Thread squmhe

Just got a Radio; have been using a Boom for a long time.

Both connect to my Logitech Media Server (previously called SqueezeBox
Server).

Both play my Favorites and both play files in my Music Folder.

But only the Boom sees the many podcasts that I've configured on the
server.

After installing the Podcasts app on the Radio, only two choices appear
(PodcastAlley Top 50 and PodcastAlley 10 Newest) and both return a
404 Not Found when selected.

How can my Radio see the podcasts configured on my server?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the screenshot.

This is a deal breaker for me -- so I'm looking forward to the feature
being added soon.

Seems like an oversight -- and since the data is digital, this seems
possibly easy to fix in the firmware.

Is is known if control of bass and treble will be added?

Glad to hear it -- as it's unlikely I'd buy a Squeezebox radio without
some control over the tone.

I already own two small non-IP radios that deliver too much bass
(perhaps to produce a big sound) -- and don't like them for that
reason.
