[SlimDevices: Radio] After Factory Reset No Wi-Fi Icon
Updating to new 8.0.1 firmware today and one of my Radios took the opportunity to stop doing wi-fi. No icon on the display, no results when finding networks. Did another reset, changed power supplies: no improvement. May have been a long time coming as this Radio has in the past occasionally dropped its connection. What if any troubleshooting/fixing steps can I take? Thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] After Factory Reset No Wi-Fi Icon
Same here. Factory reset and then updated Radio firmware no problem. After restart I can't see my Wi-Fi network for setup. Ethernet works OK. sota's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65703 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113516 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] After Factory Reset No Wi-Fi Icon
On the Radio, take the "I don't see my network" option, then "Enter my network name". That will allow you to enter the SSID of your wireless network manually, and proceed with entering the password. I've been running the predecessor firmware for some months now, and I am embarrassed to say that I didn't notice this problem. It was there, for sure... :( The new firmware is easily fixable, one way or another. mrw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38299 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113516 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] After Factory Reset No Wi-Fi Icon
Thanks @mrw I just figured this out myself. But I notice after entering it manually that it will only detect my SSID on a network scan, none of the other local Wi-Fi networks are detected. sota's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65703 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113516 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

It will always "detect" the SSID to which it is currently connected. :) mrw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38299 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113516 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] After Factory Reset No Wi-Fi Icon
I noticed the same with one of my radios which i upgraded yesterday. This was connected via ethernet. I resetted it to factory settings, installed the new firmware and rebooted. After that it didn't list any SSID after the search for networks. I resetted the settings again, rebooted twice, but the issue persisted. I then connected it to ethernet again, reinstalled the old firmware and after that i could connect to wifi as usual. Then - still connected via wifi - i upgraded the firmware again, this time without reset to factory settings. After the new firmware was installed the radio was still connected to my wifi and also listed all neighboring channels after a network search. sternenjaeger's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57562 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113516 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] After Factory Reset No Wi-Fi Icon
Haven't noticed an offered firmware update to any of my radios recently - but, when doing firmware update, why would you also do a factory reset? Don't think I've ever done such unless to solve some major clitch that rebotts won't clear. You won't get offered the new firmware unless you install the plugin "Community firmware for Touch/Radio/Controller" and enable it in settings. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] After Factory Reset No Wi-Fi Icon
I swapped the problem Radio above into another location in my home where it would be wired and it is now online. That "good" radio I then attempted to switch to wireless and it too is unable to find any networks. I tried to manually enter my wireless credentials, but no luck. Did a factory reset (Power and (+) button) and no improvement. Evidence is starting to point toward the 8.0.1 firmware as the cause. Is there an easy way to revert Radio to old firmware as a confirmation? If you haven't yet, you might want to report this info at the thread on the new community firmware. More likely for developers to see it there. https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?113479-Announce-Community-Firmware-for-Squeezebox-Radio-Touch-Controller-and-LMS-8 *Home:* VBA2.5 4TB -or- rPi4B-8GB/pCP7.0/4TB>LMS 8.1.x>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* rPi4B/pCP6.1/4TB>LMS 8.0.x>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>foobar2000 *The Wild: *rPi3B+/pCP4.0, hifiberry Dac+Pro, 4TB USB (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone11 & iPadAir3 (iPeng), CONTROLLER, Material Skin, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) *Files:* -Ripping-: dbpoweramp > FLAC; -Post-rip-: mp3tag, PerfectTunes, TuneFusion; -Streaming:- Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113516 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] After Factory Reset No Wi-Fi Icon
My error: the manual wireless network credentials entry method did work. (Just need to be careful about upper/lower case.) Sorry. Alternatively you can revert to the old firmware by disabling the new firmware in the plugin and restarting LMS. A software update on the Radio will the offer the old firmware.
