this works in all versions, but this is for updates to the SbS running
on your local computer or NAS. The OP is asking about stopping updates
from mysqueezebox.com. He's not connected to a local SbS.

I'm using Version: 7.4.2 - r30215 and can't guarantee that this is
available in any other version. That said, load up the server Web
interface, go to the Advanced panel on the right, choose Software

Do not automatically download updates.

Nothing to do with firmware update prompts.

It doesn't on my 7.6.1 Radio

very easily, if there is intermittent connection to the LAN stream or
internet coming into the LAN, the SB player loses certain info. In the
old SB players, EVERYTHING was done by the server (the devices were
dumb (i.e., "slim"). So when you pointed the IR remote at a SB3 to
change the volume, it actually sent a command to the router and then
back to the SB3. The radio and touch do have more internal brains, but
still somethings are very much connected back to the server, and a loss
of this connection can cause some of the issues you mention. Anyhow,
just a thought.

How can the lan/wifi switch the radio off and make the menus go
missing?
And all this was not present in in the older fw I used think it was 75x
something.

sounds like more of a network issue and I'd suggest some examination of
what might be going on in your local network (WIFI interference, bad
cable, switch, etc.). I have two different radios using 7.6.1 FW (both
are WIFI) and don't have any of the issues you mention.

Hi.
Well there most be a script that checking the local version against the
mysb server, so it most be possible to disable it.

Problems:
losing wifi/ethernet connection to radio station, it turn it self
of,losing the menu entry's, and so on.

I don't think you can disable the MySB firmware update prompt. You can
dismiss it when it pops up.
What issues are you experiencing when using only MySB & 7.6.1 that you
want to avoid it?

[SlimDevices: Radio] Ok disable auto upgrade from mysb

2011-09-27 Thread yop

Hi.
Ok have searched high and low, but nothing.

I want to disable the auto upgrade of the FW from mysb.

I don't use any local server, using this as a internet radio ** only **
connected to mysb, and the 761 fw is pure crap, losing connection to
radio station, it turn it self of,etc ,etc.

Did downgrade using a local sever, but when I connect to the mysb I get
the pesky 761 fw again?!?!

And I just cant find how to disable the fw update from mysb for the
radio.

Also I have seen it's a new fw "baby_7.7.0_r9543.bin", but if I extract
the bin file I get different fw, but can I take the correct fw for this
unit and copy it the unit? If so where do i put in, which folder do I
drop it so the unit can detect the fw and update it's self?

Also which one is it for this unit.

//Mike
