The OP is asking about stopping updates from mysqueezebox.com. In the old SB players, EVERYTHING was done by the server (the devices were dumb (i.e., "slim"). So when you pointed the IR remote at a SB3 to change the volume, it actually sent a command to the router and then back to the SB3. The radio and touch do have more internal brains, but still somethings are very much connected back to the server, and a loss of this connection can cause some of the issues you mention. Anyhow, just a thought. -- garym System 1: Vortexbox Appliance (1.10) > SbS 7.6.1 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) System 2: Win7(64) laptop > SbS 7.6.1 > Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio and laptop) Retired: SB3, Duet Receiver Controlled at both locations with: iPhone (iPeng), iPad (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.6 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Additional Tagging - mp3tag garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90619 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

I don't think you can disable the MySB firmware update prompt. You can dismiss it when it pops up. [SlimDevices: Radio] Ok disable auto upgrade from mysb
Hi. Ok have searched high and low, but nothing. I want to disable the auto upgrade of the FW from mysb. I don't use any local server, using this as a internet radio ** only ** connected to mysb, and the 761 fw is pure crap, losing connection to radio station, it turn it self of,etc ,etc. Did downgrade using a local sever, but when I connect to the mysb I get the pesky 761 fw again?!?! And I just cant find how to disable the fw update from mysb for the radio. Also I have seen it's a new fw "baby_7.7.0_r9543.bin", but if I extract the bin file I get different fw, but can I take the correct fw for this unit and copy it the unit? If so where do i put in, which folder do I drop it so the unit can detect the fw and update it's self? Also which one is it for this unit. //Mike -- yop yop's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=50079 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90619 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
