[SlimDevices: Radio] Wifi Connection problem

Just brought a Squeezebox classic and when i am setting it up first time
it shows my wifi connection and after entering a wep key 10 digs(this is
same as entered in 198.162.1.1)then it took 29 sec but returned to
previous screen...that try again to re connect.
I have connected it with eatherent connection ...it works well with
it.

I am missing some ting in my wifi setup...plz help ??
It is MAC add filtering?

Some problem in Authentication...i guess?/

First and foremost stop using WEP, it's pretty much useless for
encryption.  Better to use WPA2+AES.

Verify there are no spaces in your SB3's passphrase.  A space is viewed
as a character, use the Play button to erase any spaces. 
Disable MAC filtering on your router and DO broadcast your SSID.
Try turning off encryption all together, see if it connects.  If yes,
try again with your encryption turned on.

Might also need to use a HEX converter for your passphrase.  It's a
common problem with WEP.  Search "hex" in these forums.

thanks for the info.
I have changed the select key method from Direct key to Pass
Phrase...and re entered the WEP key to SB...and now it starts
working:)

But now volume is very low..not much but it is low...is this a
problem or it is like that.

Best method for volume is to turn the SB3 volume to max, then control
volume with your AVR/amp.
