Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] changing from server to server?
Just to clear things up a little, as I'm still learning. Squeezebox Server, allows me to connect to my pc and music files, wirelessly when I'm at home. Mysqueezebox.com, allows me to connect to my files when I'm not near my pc. Am I thinking along the right lines, or have I got it totally wrong. If so, can someone explain the difference please. -- Robm1955 Robm1955's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36901 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79955 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Radio is connected to MySB.com, but cannot switch to Touch. It can see my iMac. Touch can´t find my Radio. Radio is wirelessly connected to my Time Capsule. Touch is wired to my main router. I'd bet if both Touch Radio were connected via the same router they would see each other. I don't use two routers so I'm not sure exactly how to properly set them up so both are on the same network. The most common issue with having two routers is that each one is handing out IP's which can cause either IP conflicts or create two different networks. It is best to make one router handle DHCP and the other not assign IP's. -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79955 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] changing from server to server?
Thanks, this must be my problem. Unfortunately, my Radio is in the bathroom, where I need a wireless connection, and my Touch is situated in my living-room where I prefer to use a wired connection. I guess I could switch my main-router with one with wireless capabilities - that would solve the issue. [SlimDevices: Radio] changing from server to server?
I'm running mysqueezebox.com to control my SBR. I can't switch back to Squeezebox server web control..even after closing out MSB.com. I've had Squeezebox server running in the past, but can't figure now how to open and close one and open the other. Also, don't suggest I get in touch with Logitech support..via email or phone is just cruel and unusual punishment. -- toppy toppy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36163 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79955 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] changing from server to server?
Two ways that I know of: 1. Navigate into My Music. You should see a prompt screen asking whether you want to connect to the last connected local Squeezebox Server. 2. Place 'Switch Server' on your Home Menu through Settings Home Menu. (I don't recall for sure, but you may already have to be connected to a local server before you'll see this option in the Home Menu settings. Home Menu customization is odd like that.) With 'Switch Server' in the Home Menu you can do it directly instead of needing to go into My Music. -- JJZolx Jim JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79955 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] changing from server to server?
Do you have music on your computer that you want to play? If so, you can hit Home, then My Music and it will connect to Squeezebox server. Otherwise, you can try Home, Settings, Advanced, Networking, then switch to Squeezebox Server. Maybe there's an easier way, but not that I have learned yet. Also, I'm assuming your Squeezebox Server is actually up and running. -- diannabill diannabill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38082 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79955 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
