All patches are only for 7.5 at the moment, they might work on 7.6 but
they haven't been tested and they can't be installed through Patch
Installer in 7.6 yet.

Hi Erland! Just one question: Do the above mentioned plugins/patches also work for SbS 7.6? I would like to try the Nightly Builds of 7.6. But if the plugins/patches will not work, I'd better stay with the latest builds of SbS 7.5.x. Is there any advice from your side? All good I spent a bit of time this afternoon and got the two styles imported Playwithcoversandclockradio. These are on pages 13 and 7 of the thread in the 3rd party forum, would be good if you could add them to the complete list. The patch only makes it possible to create third party alarm windows.
You need to also install an implementation, currently the best (and
possibly the only working) is the Custom Clock applet. After installing
"Custom Clock" you should be able to goto
"Settings/Screen/Screensavers/Custom Clock Settings/When alarm" and
select the Custom Clock style you like to use as alarm window. The
"When alarm" menu option is only available if you have installed the
patch.
There is an old "Alarm Savers *Beta*" applet in my testing repository
but I'm not sure that works with the latest firmware version so I'd
advice you to use Custom Clock instead.

I have the same issue, could not get the alarm window to patch in. I did a factory reset and still have work to do. I got the patch app installed and selected the alarm window patch which it says installed. I can not see a menu item to allow me to select the alarm window configuration. Is this meant to be under the screen menu the same as all the others? On a side issue I have selected a screen saver view for now playing but it keeps changing so I must be missing a setting as I get the one I selected and then the default from the now playing menu. Hi Erland, everything is fine again! On the weekend I did a factory reset on my SB Radio and configured everything new from scratch. I installed custom alarm window and all the other useful patches and that's it. I know that this might mean a lot of work, but since there wasn't any
useful in the logs you posted earlier and it works perfectly for me,
maybe it's time to do a factory reset ?
Just be aware that doing a factory reset means that you need to
completely reconfigure your Radio and enter all the settings again, so
it might be a bit of work if you have changed a lot of settings.
If there is anyone else reading this which have similar problems,
please let me know.

After the update to the latest Nightly Build of SbS 7.5.4-31882 the same issue is back. This time it did not help to activate logging what did the trick last time. Even after I activated logging, the alarm clock display does not show the custom alarm window that I configured in the patch. Now the default alarm screen is shown again when an alarm is triggered. I'm afraid I have to give up trying to solve this. No errors in the log from what I can see.
Could you try to goto "Settings/Advanced/Logging" and enable debug
logging on "applet.AlarmSnooze", then make an alarm trigger and post
the log afterwards.

I'm afraid there wasn't anything strange in the log.
I assume you have triggered at least one alarm since you rebooted the
Radio the last time ? I think the log is cleared every time the Radio
is rebooted.
Does it work better if a Custom Clock based screen saver is active just
before the alarm is triggered ?

I just logged in to my Radio via ssh and looked through the logfile but I'm sorry to say that I do not understand most of the messages... So I'm not shure if there occur any serious errors. I want to use "Classic Clock" by Logitech as alarm screensaver. I use this one as "When Stopped" screensaver, so at least the saver itself is working. I think the logfile is too long to post it here. So which error message do I have to look for? Strange, are you able to login via ssh and look in the log files of the
Radio to see if there is any error ?
The log is in /var/log/messages
Does the Custom Clock applet work at all ? For example, can you use it
for normal screen saver ?

Where do you configure the alarm screen ?
I'm doing it through "Settings/Screen/Screensavers/Custom Clock
Settings/When alarm".
Are you using my "Alarm Savers" applet to configure the alarm screen
through "Settings/Screen/Alarm screensavers" ?
Maybe it's the "Alarm Savers" applet is broken ?
If you are doing it through "Alarm Savers" applet, I suggest that you
try installing "Custom Clock" applet and instead configure an alarm
screen through that. The "Custom Clock" applet have a lot of clock
styles so if you just want a clock, you can probably find a style you
like.

Hi Erland, thanks for your help! On my SB Radio I also have Firmware 7.5.3 r9283. I'm running SBS 7.5.4 r31858 but the issue already appeared some SbS Nightlies earlier. I can install the patch from the patch list as usual, then a reboot and afterwards it is checked in the patch list. Anything fine so far and as it always was before. But when the alarm starts, now just the default alarm screen is shown instead of the one I configured from within the custom alarm window patch... Strange somehow. Which firmware version do you have (Settings/Advanced/About) ?
I'm using 7.5.3 r9283 and it seems to still work on my Radio.
I have SBS 7.5.4 r31845
Is the patch available in the "Patch Installer" list ?
Does the patch fail to install or does it just not work after the
installation ?
Is it checked in "Patch Installer" after you have rebooted the Radio
after it has been installed ?
