I do not want to upgrade my server software to 7.4.2 because to get the albums to sort by year, I have to run the perl files and then run a patch (that is actually for a much older version) to get it to do this and it is a big pain. When is 7.4.2 going to be officially released so I can get the updated from mysqueezebox.com? I had the same problem on one of my two SB Radios. The radio that "hung" at 99%, I plugged an ethernet cord into, changed the network option to wired, and it upgraded flawlessly. After the upgrade was complete, I changed the network setting back to wireless, and everything is ops normal. I'm getting 'An updated squeezebox server version is available', notices on my Mac but when I click update I always get a 'Waiting for System Preferences to quit' message for five secs followed by the password screen. Entering this gives 'Install Results - Please quit Sys Pref before running installer'. This happens whether the server is running or stopped. Unplug the Radio, plug back in, when the Radio home menu appears go directly to the Software Update section, try again. I did the following: Radio > Settings > Advanced > Software Update then it went to "Downloading" and it stalled at 99% downloading and never did update. I unplugged the radio and there was no update. The update will not go past 99% downloading. Please help. My squeezebox radio noticed that there was a FW update but when I tried doing it the download would get stuck at 99% and never update. I tried turning it off but it would not go off and then I unplugged it and when it restarted it still had the old FW. Any suggestions on how to get the FW to update? Until you update your server to 7.4.2 your Radio won't get a FW Update.
