Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox keeps on losing connection to reuter

You can also try to change the wireless channel that your router uses.
Consult the router's documentation to see how to do this.

If all else fails, you can use a network cable instead of wireless.
It's very much more reliable.

It depends on if you use a Windows computer or something else (Mac,
Linux, etc.) But anyways, 'here's how' (http://tinyurl.com/nz9z4y). :D

Is your Radio losing connection with router? Or just your server?
When it happens make note of the color of the WiFi icon on the Radio
screen.
Red = not connected to router
Blue = connected to router, not connected to server (SBS or MySB.com)
White = connected to server (SBS or MySB.com)

Also, any chance of IP conflict? Two devices have been assigned the
same IP address?

It's going red. as for a conflict, I thought all devices using the same
internet connection would have the same ip address or should they all
be different?

Each device on the network (your router) must have a different IP
address assigned by the router. The router then uses a single IP
address to communicate with your ISP modem and the internet itself. If
two devices on your network have the same IP address you can expect such
issues as devices disconnecting from the router.

The easiest way may be this:

1) Find the IP of your Radio.
2) Ping the radio (open CMD in Windows and enter ping 111.222.333.444
(substitute the Radio's IP address for 111.222.333.444) to confirm that
the Radio answers ping calls. There should be four pings and four
replies.
3) Turn the Radio full off, and/or disconnect it from the network.
4) Ping the radio again. If something answers, it's not the radio,
which means that another device is using the same IP.

Hi there

Best way to prove what it is, is to connect (just temporarily) with a
cable (ethernet cable, between your router and your SB). If it is
stable like that, then try one more time with your wireless connection.
That way, you'll be sure if the problem is your home network, or
elsewhere.

What model is your router? Have you looked it up in the 'compatibility
