I'd say the leather on the rivet, which is white, is supple to the touch and 
much more hammocky than my black VO b17 clone which is well broken in but rock 
solid to the touch.  I'm perplexed.

Adam Leibow wins for my favorite stable.  

I would love a lighthouse sequoia, Ramanceur, Hunqapillar and I also recommend 
the BMC to the budget conscious.  If I ever needed to liquidate I'd replace 
everything with that monster cross.  It's a killer bike for the price but you 
sort of need to be in the know for it to be on your radar so it's got a little 
bit of a paradox going on.

I went on a "budget" 700x47 tire buying spree last summer.  What I came up with 
was the resist nomads and vee rubber 12s are great.  Actually the vee tires I 
was sent were the grv model which I can't actually find info on but appear to 
be the same tread as the 12s.  The resists are sort of like budgety compasses 
and the vees are similar to a wtb riddler.

Thanks all who replied!  For clarification, this is for a 26" wheeled 1" 
threaded steer tubed fork.  There's lots of clearance on the rear wheel for 
smart sam 2.1"ers  but up front the wide rim I put in barely fits between the 
blades.   I never thought to measure that and I'm bummed because I was starting 
the final build.

Does this work?  It's in the newbaums tape group on Flickr from when I wrapped 
the bars.  Basically mine was sold to me as a 58 but it may be a 62.  I got a 
fair deal on a 58 green so n-0.  Unless I find a sweet orange bike.  I've 
always been curious about the xoxo and I have a sweet 26" wheelset.
