Re: [RBW] Any former paper boys (or girls) on this list?

2021-09-06 Thread Lucky Turnip
I can't speak to the topic of paper boys, specifically, as ours have also
been folks in cars, but the delivery-related thing I am starting to see in
my neighborhood is Door Dash, Amazon, and other delivery folks on bicycles.
I notice these people because they are not "bike messenger types" on
fixies, they're typically people of all ages and body types riding regular
mass produced mountain bike type things. The last guy I saw was wearing a
construction hard hat in lieu of a helmet. He did have a good assortment of
lights on his rig, an unremarkable modern Schwinn.

Re: [RBW] Re: rides sought

2021-05-16 Thread Lucky Turnip
Thanks for your reply. The scenery there is gorgeous (bikes included!)
I guess what I am wondering is if there are any favorite trails people have
to recommend in that area, we can put the bikes on the car to get there if
necessary (sometimes the only way to get to the ride with young kids.)
Can be mildly technical MTB or paved or gravel, our bikes do it all. :)

[RBW] rides sought

2021-05-14 Thread Lucky Turnip
I have a reservation for a campsite in Gualala (California Mendocino area)
and would love to bring the family bikes. We've been to the area before and
never brought bikes. Can anyone recommend any cool places to bike there
that are kid friendly for riders who aren't that cautious cycling on a
highway, for example? If you have a recommended ride there I can start
researching what might be best for us.

Riv content: I will likely bring my Atlantis, of which I will take great
photos in that gorgeous area.

Four red Paul Comp spring adjuster nuts
Or
Four colorful not black or silver Paul Comp spring adjuster nuts
(hopefully at least one is red)

To use with my Neo-Retro brakes.

Also perhaps some colorful Moon Units.

Please e-mail me Off List if you have any of these things for sale. Thanks!
