[RBW] Big Apples for GAP and CO tour
I am doing the GAP and CO from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. in May and was wondering what the opinion was of using 50mm Big Apples for this ride. Thanks in advance. i used 700x38mm tires on the C/O and they were fine. the gap is much smoother than the C/O Woman is 53 But Looks 25 Mom reveals 1 simple wrinkle trick that has angered doctors... http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3131/5120d4a97738454a90b61st02duc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. The GAP is nice and smooth crushed limestone - depending on the wetness, super big tires might make for slow going. If speed is no worry, you'll definitely appreciate extra volume on the CO. I would personally go for a tire in the mid to high 30s, width wise, but YMMV. -Dan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. Re: [RBW] Big Apples for GAP and CO tour
I used Hetres (42's) on my GAP/CO ride and was very happy with the ride on both trails. As others have said, the surfaces are not at all the same. You could use much skinnier tires for the GAP. When I left the GAP,and rode onto the CO, it had rained the previous day and the CO was pretty messy and rutted. The Hetres were much appreciated for the next couple of days (the final day, the trail had pretty much dried out.
