[RBW] FS: 62cm Hunqapillar Frameset

2023-05-24 Thread Daniel Rooke
Hello,

I have a nice 62cm Hunqapillar frameset for sale. I bought it built up off
the list about a year ago but it’s always been too big for me so I’m
reluctantly selling it. I think it’s been sold a few times here but seems
to be in good shape. There is some slight damage to the chain stay, which
is visible in one of the photos. Other than that some paint chips and
scratches and signs of use. Included with sale will be an FSA headset and
Shimano bottom bracket - both installed - and a 28.6” Nitto seat post.
This was one of the frames made with that size seat post. Additionally I
have tig-welded Nitto Bullmoose Handlebars that I could include for an
additional $120. They were never used but installed once.

As far as shipping I have a box I could use and can pack it carefully
myself. I think shipping would be approximately $100 but can get an exact
quote when sold and knowing what zip code I’m shipping to. Also, I can
take it to my local bike shop to have them pack and ship it. That will take
longer - the last time I inquired it was a 10 day lead time to pack and
ship, but that may have gone down. I would estimate an additional $100 for
that.

I'm thinking $1350 for the frameset plus whatever shipping option you
choose. Most payment methods would work.

[RBW] FS: 62cm Hunqapillar f/f/hs + extras -- 1st gen, grey/kidney bean, $1,500

2021-06-27 Thread Jeremy Till
I find myself with one too many bicycles and it's a last in, first out kind
of situation. For sale is a 62cm Hunqapillar frame, fork, and FSA Orbit
headset, and I will throw in the Thomson Elite seatpost and Velo Orange
63mm fluted fenders. I bought the frame/fork/headset used last summer,
built it up and rode it occasionally for the past ~9 months. The seatpost
and fenders were new as of last Fall. The fenders are basically installed,
and include a hole in the front fender that lines up with the eyelet on a
Nitto 32F front rack for more support.

Stated geometry can be found here: https://flic.kr/p/7NnxMg
That also links to the Hunqapillar group on Flickr, which has a number of
shots from the original flyer with other useful information. I suspect that
the top tube is slightly longer than the stated geometry, just from
comparing its fit against my other similarly sized bikes. Being a first
generation, its tire clearance is more limited than the later generations.
I would say it fits 700x52/29x2.1" without fenders, 700x45 or maybe
slightly wider with fenders, depending on rim width.

It's biggest imperfection is a large chainsuck scar on the drive side
chainstay, which was preexisting when I acquired it. Before building it up
I sanded it smooth and hit with some spray on clear coat to discourage
rust. In my formerly professional opinion it's not structural concern, but
like most things, good to keep an eye on. See picture at the link below
below. Aside from that there are a couple of very small shellac drips on
the top and diagatube, otherwise in really good shape.

Pictures of what's for sale here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmW5Fche
Pictures of it built up: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmQUkEX8
My saddle height is around 790mm for reference.

Asking $1,500 for everything pictured. I'm located in Sacramento, CA and
would be happy to do a local exchange here or in the SF Bay Area. Can also
ship at buyer's expense.

Missed out on an Appaloosa? Curious about older, shorter-chainstayed, fat
tire Rivs? Now's your chance.

[RBW] FS: 62cm Hunqapillar complete

2018-03-13 Thread scott minor
Hello everyone,

I've decided to part with my Hunqapillar after owning it for a couple years
now. It simply doesn't get ridden enough since I got a Cheviot, which
between that and an Ocean Air Rambler cover my bases well enough. I should
be so lucky. Seems a bit decadent to have this beautiful bike leaning in
the corner. I bought it used from Ant Ritchey a couple winters ago and
it's pretty much in the same nick it was in when I got it. It's a lovely
ride.

As for details, drive train is standard Sugino triple with 12-32 9 speed
cassette, Paul canti brakes w kool-stop salmon pads, Paul levers, Paul
funky monkey brake stop, IRD thumb shifters, MAP Ahearne bar (the wider
one), 110mm tallux stem, nitto front rack. Wheels are Velocity rear /
Shutter Precision gen hub front w Atlas rims and 2.1 Thunder Burts. Tires
have less than 250 mi on them and roll beautifully.

asking 2250 complete + bikeflight shipping or local pickup

[RBW] FS: 62cm Hunqapillar

2015-11-19 Thread benjamin
2014 hunqapillar powder coated a dark metallic grey
-Chris king black sotto headset
-dirt drop and noodle cockpit
-Thomson seatpost(but I've also got a silver Nitto post if you'd prefer that)
-Shimano levers and bar ends
-9 speed xt rear derailleur with 12-36 9 speed cassette
-cx70 front derailleur with a 40/26 compact setup(Sugino big/ race face little)
but will include a 105 triple derailleur and 46 tooth Sugino ring from its time
as a 3x9
-175 Sugino cranks/grip king pedals/shimano un bottom bracket
-Paul neo-retro cantilevers
-Nitto front rack
-king iris cage
-Grey 2.25 Smart Sam tires(!...had to order these from Australia, don't know if
they ever made it to the U.S. Market)
-32 spoke Mavic/XT wheel set(higher miles than the rest of the bike, rear hub
is pretty crusty and will need to be repacked and/or replaced soon. Front is
still nice and both are straight and true. Originally had a dynamo wheelset
built for this bike but it's since gone to another project)

I think that's about it. second owner, bought as a frameset and had a good time
building it up. I thought it would be the bike that would keep me from wanting
any other bikes but I ended up riding it the least...it always felt too tall
for me to be fully comfortable on trails(which is the majority of my riding).
Never really been seriously crashed although it has seen its fair share of
skids gone wrong and stumps that weren't quite jumped. Really rad bike and it's
a bit hard for me to sell but I'm moving into a room next month that's about
half the size of my current spot and really trying to not live like a hoarder.

I'm also somewhat computer illiterate so if this link doesn't work please let
me know...

http://s1200.photobucket.com/user/BIGgreyHunqapillar/library/Mobile%20Uploads?sort=2&page=1

Not really sure what to price it at, I was thinking 2200 or best reasonable
offer. Located in sf but I can ship at actual cost + the cost of having a shop
box it up... give me a call or text if you're interested or have any
questions(don't always have access to a computer). Thanks!
