[RBW] Re: Any opinions on Sachs shifters?
Thanks for the links. I chickened out on the bike in the end, or at least for now, until I find out in a few weeks if I'm getting paid this year. Not sure what you would gain, but you could keep the parts as is and just convert the leavers. The Ergo brake/shifters are completely rebuildable, and may be converted from 8-speed to 9-speed or 10-speed simply by changing a small notched ring. http://www.campyonly.com/howto/cam_change.html http://www.leechvideo.com/tag/ergopower/ http://www.campyonly.com/tipstrivia.html#response But I'm not sure if a 9sp cassette will fit your freehub body as i think there were a couple different standards. Maybe someone here know more? According to some it should work: http://www.campyonly.com/9_speed.html http://www.campyonly.com/tipstrivia.html#response On 14 Jan, 18:10, pruckelshaus wrote: > Sachs is nice because it works fine with Shimano -- at least the old > stuff did. Sachs is nice because it works fine with Shimano -- at least the old stuff did. Your 7s shifter is also probably7 8s.
