[RBW] Re: Lay-aways

2011-03-04 Thread fulf
I experienced the negative to saving for a bike this past winter. I
had money all saved and was one phone call away from ordering a
hunqapillar frame when my wife and I started preparing for another
Maine wintah. While lowering the storm windows they literally came
apart in our hands. Well-you guessed it, my hunqapillar became
replacement windows and although we are warmer- I'm not having nearly
as much fun. Bill

[RBW] Re: Lay-aways

2011-03-04 Thread Mike
That's pretty funny Ray. I've been in a similar spot since selling my
Rambouillet frame. Part of me just wishes I had pulled the trigger on
a new frame back in Dec when I sold the Ram. Instead I've been saving
up more and going back and forth between various bikes--Hunqa, SH, Big
Dummy, LHT, Troll etc. I'm just trying to fill a camping/touring hole
in my collection. Eventually I'll make a decision. Whatever I decide
I'm sure I'll be happy. One thing I can't stress enough... I'm really
glad I have my Hilsen. That's the best bike I've ever owned and the
one I'd never get rid of. For anyone considering a Hilsen, go for it.

Either that, or creative lease financing where at the end of the

How typically Rivendell it is to figure out a payment plan that
takes 20% down and then 7 equal payments of
11.428571428571428571428571% per month after that.  I like 6-digit

and 6 equal 12.5% payments?  Hopefully they have a computer do it all,
